The NCAA signing period is slated to start on November 13th. With the start of the signing period upon us, we look to break down each individual Division 1 commitment from in-state prospects, where they are headed and what tools they will bring with them.

Overview: CMU is looking to build upon a tremendous 2019 season where they won the MAC, advanced to the NCAA Regional and knocked off ACC power Miami. Coach Bischel and staff have added three recruits could make an immediate impact.

Report: Lowry is one of the most dynamic prospects in the 2020 class. Strong arm with ball hawking skills in the OF. A left-handed hitter that shows the ability to hit for both average and power. Big time pop off the bat.

Luke Scoles RHP / OF / Gull Lake, MI / 2020

Report: Scoles has good blood lines his brother also pitched in the MAC conference for Toledo. Scoles has an advanced understanding of how to pitch. Simply stated he is a winner.

Sandyn Cuthrell SS / 2B / Cass City, MI / 2020

Report: Smooth fielding middle infielder with athleticism. Gap to gap approach at the plate with long levers. Athletic enough to possibly make a transition to the outfield.

Report: Kattula is a physically strong prospect that is what you’d call a professional hitter. He swings a powerful bat that will translate at any level. Athletic enough to also play corner OF.

Report: Forry is a 6-foot-3, 220 pound physically imposing pitcher. Has ran his fastball up to 91 mph with sink. Workhorse mentality on the hill.

Jeremy Fuchs LHP / OF / Plymouth, MI / 2020

Report: Fuchs is a long athletic prospect standing 6-foot-3, 160 pounds. Has wiry strength with a loose arm action. Has big time upside, that will allow him to continue to improve each year.

Overview: After a remarkable run to the NCAA National Championship finishing runner up the Wolverines look to continue their success. Michigan brings in three of the top four rated prospects in the state.

Logan Wood LHP / OF / St Mary's, MI / 2020

Report: Wood has been one of the most dominant pitchers in the state since his freshman campaign. If you need a win there aren’t too many guys you can count on more that Wood. Last year dominated the Catholic League in route to a Division 2 State Title.

Dylan Stanton SS / 3B / Gull Lake, MI / 2020

Report: Stanton is by far one of the most consistent players in the 2020 class. He produces both in the field and at the plate. Has made a big impact since attending the Future Games and leading Team Michigan in hits back in 2017.

Ryan Zimmer RHP / 3B / Saint Clair, MI / 2020

Report: 6-foot-4, 195 pound long lean right hand pitcher shows loose arm actions with a low-90s fastball. High ceiling guy who should only improve. Will garner pro scout attention this spring.

Report: 6-foot-8, 211 pound multiple sport athlete plays CF when he’s not on the mound. Long legs has the impression he’s right on top of the hitter when he delivers. Fastball has been up to 88 mph with arm side run. High ceiling.

Mitch Jebb SS / RHP / Swan Valley, MI / 2020

Report: Athletic, fast twitch prospect shows good feel for the game. Shortstop with plus range and an above average throwing arm. Top of the order hitter that uses the entire field.

Nick Powers LHP / OF / Flushing, MI / 2020

Report: Powers is a crafty LHP with deception. Has a four pitch mix. Fastball is in the mid-80s with above average command. Big break on his curve along with a hard breaking slider.

Overview: Oakland University looks to rebound with another strong recruiting class after a 11-37 season last year. They have a couple All Horizon performers returning and have added four players in the top 50 in their recruiting class.

Report: Collins is a 6-foot-2, 165 pound RHP projectable framed prospect. Has a fast arm with good movement on his pitches. Fastball has been up to 88 mph. Has good deception on the change up and depth on his breaking ball.

Report: Paulina is a high motor smooth fielding middle infielder. Polished technique in the field with a quick release. Left hand hitter that has a line drive approach.

Overview: Coach Gernon and staff bring in a solid recruiting class with four Michigan guys during the early signing period. Their class addresses all areas of the game. Last season Western placed three guys on the All MAC conference team.

Report: Overaitis is a strong defensive catcher that understands how to control a pitching staff. Solid blocking skills and accurate throwing arm. Three year starting varsity catcher.

Report: Van Heck is a left hand throwing corner outfielder who also plays first base. Has good footwork around the bag and a polished approach in the outfield. At the plate swings from the right side with a level stroke. Line drive hitter.

Brendan Harrity SS / Brighton, MI / 2020

Report: Harrity is an athletic switch hitting middle infielder. Shows 6.8 sixty yard dash speed while posting a 90 mph exit velocity on both sides of the plate. Strong defender up the middle.
