From July 13-18, the PBR GA staff was on-hand in Emerson, Ga., at the site of the Southeast Select

Today, we’ll be identifying the top talent in attendance from the tournament. The following is a list of twenty prospects from a variety of grad classes and states that put together impressive performances at LakePoint and they deserve a close follow through the remainder of summer and fall.

Landon Richards RHP / RHP / Little Cypress Mauriceville , TX / 2025

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 210 pounds. While he was beneath the radar before Southeast Select, he is no longer. Although the frame may be more conducive to powerlifting than baseball, this isn’t just a big body on the diamond. Richards is an impressive athlete overall who has real actions both at the plate and in the field despite the mound being his main focus. But when you see him toe the bump, it’s easy to understand why. Not only is the delivery highly explosive from start to finish, but Landon is very well balanced on the mound. He’s easily got one of the strongest bases to throw from in the class with his lower half is hammy+glute dominant throughout the delivery, taking an enormous amount of pressure off the arm. It’s unusual to see an arm built like Richards with such standout fast twitch fibers, which you see more typically in the long & lean pitcher. His compact arm action moves with purpose as soon as the hands break, and is on time at foot strike. But the arm has many larger parts working with it before the violent rotation is made - The front side is firm with optimal bend, the back knee is angled toward the plate to and well underway with redirecting his inertia in stride created through up & down phases. To simplify a bit, he’s in a good position for an explosive lead leg block in the future and I think the velo will climb quickly when he learns to clear his back knee through the front beginning at layback. Stuff wise, he’s extremely unique with a multi faceted FB that works to all edges of the zone. He can run it edge to edge, sink it below barrels from a 6’3” release height, or ride it above barrels with ease. The unique metrics on the pitch only make his wiffle ball-like SLV even more dominant. With up to 24 inches of sweep and two plane depth, it’s completely unfair to hitters. The fact he has well A/AVG control of the pitch right now means hitters can’t just take it and hope for a FB. Take, and you will go down looking.

Truitt Webb Rhp / 3B / Henry County, TN / 2024

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 165 pounds. When you’re able to find the trio of a plus athlete with exceptional delivery and rare metrics, there’s no time to waste. That’s exactly the urgency a half dozen D1’s moved with after Truitt’s outing in the tweet below. They showed up just a few days later, and he didn’t disappoint. Off just over 2 days rest and full of adrenaline, Webb hit a new Trackman PR of 89 (88.5). Not only was the FB there, but his sweeping SL showed much more consistent shape than his earlier outing in Southeast Select. He landed it glove side time and again, giving hitters absolutely no shot to sit on his FB. But with his plus VAA at the top of the zone, same quality of IVB, and MLB average extension, it’s not like hitters have much of a chance against his FB even when they know it’s coming. With a perfect build of pace in the delivery, elite separation timing, and torque created as he works down the mound, the jump in velocity is purely imminent as he gains strength. Webb’s stride length for his height is extremely impressive, and he’s able to do it without becoming disconnected on the backside. He not only picks up optimal pace in the stride phase of his delivery, but he keeps impressive direction for consistent strikes and is able to maintain balance & strength (despite being far from his physical ceiling). His stride length and finish (chest over front knee) play up his perceived velocity, adding another element of misery for hitters who try to time up his FB. While he may not be a flamethrower currently for his age group, he will be in an elite group of dominant college FB’s in just a few short years.

Drew Abney C / 3B / Pope, GA / 2026

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 190 pounds.
While he may not be the most known ‘26 in the state, he certainly is one of the most special bats. A fastball hunter in the truest sense, you’re not going to catch Abney late on a heater. Not only has he proven that all summer, but he proved it on the biggest stage of GHSA in the Pope Greyhounds annual run to the State Championship against the highest quality of arms well above his age group. This is a player who has delivered in the clutch on a regular basis since February, and is on the short list for next year's Future Games just on the merit of his bat alone. There are very few hitters with the complete package in the class, but this is one of them. The effortless swing mechanics, bat speed+bat strength, and every intangible you can imagine. This is a stocky frame built for power that is only going to make a jump each year as he grows into his body and adds strength. But Drew isn’t just a bat, he’s a leader behind the dish who is always thinking one play ahead. He manages a pitching staff with ease, is constantly improving as a receiver, and is a willing blocker. This is a player who will put his body on the line for the team at all times and you can always count on. His preparation in the on deck circle and mentality at the plate is as eye opening as the raw tools, and he’s as tough as they come behind the plate.

Taylor Fuller SS / Holy Innocents Episcopal School, GA / 2026

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Fuller has a strong/athletic build that is amongst the top of his class. He has a fluid left handed swing with plus swing mechanics. He keeps an on-plane swing with his bat staying in the zone through contact. Fuller has a high leg kick in his allowing him to sink into his hips. He will be a high follow for the years to come.

Evan Moody RHP / OF / Carrollton, GA / 2026

Uncommitted. 6-foot, 180-pounds. Moody had multiple appearances out of the pen during the PBR Southeast Select. He showed electric stuff topping out at 87, while settling in at 84-86. He came up big in tough situations during the game. Moody has a big breaking ball to keep hitters off of the fastball. Moody has continued to impress while he has improved every outing throughout the summer.

Nolan McKinstry RHP / SS / South Paulding , GA / 2025

Kennesaw State commit. 6-foot-1, 155-pounds. The right hander had electric stuff during his start in the PBR Southeast Select. He had a lively FB creating late movement arm side. He was able to throw the FB to either side of the plate, mainly living down in the zone. The FB got up to 91 mph while settling in at 87-90. The Hammer breaking ball was his best out pitch, getting many whiffs and freezing hitters. McKinstry has plenty of room to fill out in his tall frame. A plus arm coming out of the ‘25 class.

Banks Hickman LHP / 1B / Dawson County , GA / 2024

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 185-pounds. Had an impressive complete game outing in the PBR Southeast Select. He produced 10 strikeouts, while only giving up 4 hits and 2 runs. The crafty left hander was hitting his spots the entire game. He was able to command all three pitches and could thrown any of them in any count. Hickman topped out at 85, while mainly staying in the low 80’s. He had good tempo in his delivery, with good leg drive down the mound. Good arm still on the board in the class of ‘24.

Jack Richerson 3B / OF / Marist School, GA / 2026

Uncommitted. 6-foot-3, 189 lbs. Richerson was a dominant player this weekend and an interesting one to watch. Richerson is tall, athletic, and quick and his athleticism is noticeable among other players on the field. Richerson had multiple extra base hits this weekend helping his team secure the champion’s title. When batting, he has fast hands and can make contact with the ball, coming on top in battles.  He is good at reading pitches and can lower or raise his body depending on the pitch to keep his swing plane aligned with the ball plane. Richerson is an uncommitted athlete to keep an eye on these next years.

Will Forte C / The Lovett School, GA / 2026

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 180 lbs. Athletic build and quick player. Forte is an agile player that is able to control the game from behind the plate making multiple impressive stops this weekend. He has a quick reaction time and a notable arm. And he plays aggressive behind the plate throwing out multiple runners. Forte is a stand out player on offense as well. He perfectly sinks into his lower half to then create power in his shoulder knee separation. He has a connected swing which allows him to launch the ball over the outfielders. Forte battles in the box every at bat, coming out on top in many of those. His patience and above-average hands keep him locked in throughout his ABs. As Forte continues to develop, he will be an extremely fun player to watch for the years to come.

Aidan Larkin SS / 3B / Cartersville , GA / 2024

Uncommitted. 6-foot, 185 pounds. Larkin put on an electric display of talent all tournament, he has multiple impressive tools in his pocket. Medium, lean frame with an athletic build. High athleticism displayed at the plate and in the field. Balanced, athletic stance with a small load. Well-balanced with the high leg kick in swing. Efficient coil with good hip-shoulder separation, linear connection, and timing. Big trigger with intent in every at-bat. Quick, A/AV bat speed with seemingly effortless power that is also impressive on the pull-side. Ran a 7.07 60-yard time at our Top Prospect Games in mid-June and has displayed that he can run an under 7 second 60 time. He has some room for added muscle, which makes his power tool all more impressive. The power was on full display in the final day of the tournament, with three bombs between the semi-final and championship game, where he led the Southeast Sox to a championship win. In the semi-final, Larkin hit a bomb to tie the game after being down 0-2 in the count in the final inning and fouling off multiple pitches. In the championship, his bomb was in a tie game in the final inning, becoming the winning run for the Sox. Undoubtedly a clutch player that comes through exactly when it is needed most. Beyond the power-speed tools, he is quite impressive defensively at short. Plays through with quick hands, fielding out front with clean exchanges and quick releases, simply a natural at short. Also displayed an infield velocity of 87 at our Top Prospect Games. It is easy to focus on the power he displayed this tournament and overlook the defense, but it was just as impressive, coming through defensively with an electric diving stop to end a pool play game. This player isn’t going to be uncommitted for long with the wide-range of stand-out tools he possesses. A review from a friend,”I’d give him top of scale energy.”

Fastball jumps out of the hand well with impressive spin topping out at 2538. Fastball sat 83-86 while topping out at 87 mph. Harshbarger’s slider sat 75-77. He stays in his legs well and drives down the mound getting extension. Good follow.

Xavier-Raphael Brault OF / RHP / Academie Lafontaire, QC / 2025

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Brault was filthy on the mound, commanding the zone with primarily Fastball. Was dominant against hitters getting weak contact and a lot of swing and misses. Brault has a bit of a corky delivery that creates deception and makes the Fastball get on hitters quick. Fastball sat 83-85 topping at 86. Curveball was 71-73 with 2400-2600 on spin rate. Brault was an impressive arm to watch, and will be an interesting prospect to see where he ends up.

Connor McAllister RHP / South Forsyth, GA / 2024

Uncommitted, Mcalister turned in one of the best pitching performances of the weekend and it was nothing short of electric. His ability to move athletically down the mound and create an average of 6’7 extension allowed his 84/87 MPH FB to play up, grabbing consistent whiffs. What separated him the most was his feel to spin his 74 MPH SL in any count and burry with 2 strikes. The present ease of operation allowed for repeatability, his ideal hip+shoulder separation allowed him to create easy arm speed and only points to velocity gains in the future. This was a very exciting look and it will be fun to follow what school lands this uncommitted RHP.

Jacob Wallace RHP / 1B / Chene Bleu Pincourt, QC / 2024

Uncommitted, This 6-3 235 LB RHP emerged as a 2024 to know and it was easy to see why. Immediately the XL frame stands out and points to him being able to handle a load of innings at the next level. His well timed delivery that has tempo throughout along with the ability to create immense power from the ground up is highly impressive. What stood out the most was his feel to pitch and consistently control his body down the mound, repeating his delivery with ease. He cruised at 87/89 and could grab a 91/92 if he needed it. The heavy FB created consistent weak contact and ground balls along with grabbing whiffs. A high lead arm in the out phase added deception and made it hard for hitters to track and time up, allowing everything to play up. He used his 73/76 MPH downer SL in any count, landing it early and expanding late. High Follow 2024.

His SL sat 73-74 with sweep and caused lots of swing and misses. He occasionally threw a CH at 75-76 to keep hitters guessing and off of his FB/SL mix. Fowler was dominant in his start against the Jackets as he went 5 strong innings with 10 Ks. He has the makings of a really good 3-pitch mix that will only continue to get better as he continues to sharpen his skills.

Wake Forest Commit. 6-foot-1, 170-pounds. Slim frame with athletic actions. Hynes had an impressive performance against The North where he had 8 Ks. He dominated the zone through 5 strong innings and will only continue to get better as he fills out his frame. Will be a kid to keep a close eye on as he develop throughout the next few years.
