Indiana once again has a strong crop of pitchers in the 2016 class, and you can put the 6-foot-3, 196-pound Leighty near the top of the list. The right-hander established himself as a high-interest draft prospect after his strong showing at the ProCase last June. He sat 90-91 with arm-side run and occasional sink during his one inning. Working from a high-3/4 slot with a quick, athletic arm, his 80-81 mph curveball showed significant improvement, as it displayed sharp, late action with depth at times. Although he pitches with effort and his mechanics are raw, Leighty clearly has more in the tank.
