Tennessee Class of 2025 Rankings: Official Release

PBR Tennessee Staff

After a busy summer full of events in the Volunteer State, the Class of 2025 Player Rankings is long overdue for an update as these players have just started their junior year of their high school careers. There were a ton of new names who entered into the fold, as well as a number of others who continue to elevate their game, warranting plenty of movement and expansion (now 150 players) to the list. Most of the same names are still inside the Top-10 from the last update, but there's some shakeup within.

Ryan Mitchell: Ryan Mitchell is a 2025 MIF with a 6 foot and 175 pound frame. Athletic build on the leaner side with present twitchiness and long limbs. Really clean actions defensively with soft hands. Arm strength has come along over the past year and could help him stay put at SS in college or the professional route. At the plate, has a lot of feel for using the entire field with pop to pull-side. More gap to gap currently that will hit doubles consistently with more power to come. Quick runner and should be able to continue to swipe bases. High ceiling player that has been on the national scene for some time now.

Nathan Eisfelder: Eisfelder came into the Futures game with very minimal name recognition, especially on the national scale. This is new territory for the young outfielder but also something he will shine in as he is someone who brings his best against the best as he is an extremely uncomfortable at bat for any arm. High upside kid that is currently listed at 6 foot and 195 pounds, could end up being 6 foot 3 and 215/220 pounds with legit pop to all fields by senior season. Eisfelder has an entire field approach and creates opportune lag in the hitting zone. Will hit a lot of doubles and has a chance to have true power potential to tall fields.

Alexander Peck: Listed at 6 foot 3 and 180 pounds, Peck provides high quality upside with an ideal frame convened by MLB organizations. Really smooth infielder with crisp feet and a quick release that projects to stick at the premium position. In the box, he presents a slight leg hang with an uphill plane of attack with the barrel that should equal power as he progresses into his frame. Struggled some offensively over the summer facing legit dudes on the bump but the upside is clearly present and one to bank on.

Korbin Reynolds: Listed at 5 foot 10 and 195 pounds, Reynolds is arguably the best pure catcher in the state and has a natural ability to bang from the right side. Really clutch hitter that seems to come through in every big moment. He is someone who plays with a lot of confidence and poise. Super polished behind the dish where he steals strikes and truly prevents teams from running dead in their tracks with superb throws to second from a quick short arm release. Extremely high upside and is someone who Vanderbilt believes has a chance to start from day 1.

Ari Bethea: Really quietly confident arm that commands the zone extremely well for his age with already plus offerings. Bethea has a lot of projection currently as he is listed 5 foot 11 and 185 pounds with an athletic frame. Well built shoulders to go alongside a strong lower half, he should continue to add size to his frame, while not sacrificing suppleness to his movements. Really low effort release with a high ¾ arm slot that attacks hitters early by routinely getting ahead in the count. Slider has a chance to be a plus pitch with 2600-2700 RPM’s and insane amounts of sweep with it currently. Really good kid that will compete for a weekend job as a freshman at Tennessee.
