Recap

Armorel HS won its schools 3rd State Championship in 2015 by defeating Taylor 10-0 in 6 innings.

2015 Ashston Kennedy dominated on the mound throwing a complete game two hit shutout not allowing a hit until the 4th.

His dominance gave 2016 OF Nash Winters and the rest of the Tiger offense time to jump out to a 7-0 lead over the first three innings. Winters led the way with a 4-4 2RBI day.

The Armorel team seemed focus and well prepared, this was their 3rd consecutive trip to the finals and this time they came out on the right side of the scoreboard.

A dominant offense was key through out the tournament scoring 30 runs in four games. Kirby HS was the only team to really test Armorel. That could be a sign for 2016 as Kirby returns most of a talented team. Although unseeding the yearly contenders of Taylor and Armorel will be no easy feet.
