Uncommitted Spotlight - 2025 Rankings Risers

Dan Jurik
Scouting Director - Pacific Northwest

Last week we updated our 2025 class rankings for Washington. Class rankings are updated multiple times throughout the year with the goal of helping coaches/evaluators identify players in the area.

Today we're spotlighting 3 uncommitted prospects who are on the rise in the class after strong showings this summer and in the fall.

Matthew Manjooran OF / RHP / Camas , WA / 2025

Manjooran made his PBR debut back in October for one of our final Fall events and put on an absolute show statistically. Physically there’s present strength and maturation with an impressive blend of power and speed. After running a 6.99 in the 60, Manjooran touched 86 mph from the OF during the defensive workout. Given the size, arm and power, he’s probably a RF profile long-term but has enough burst to handle all 3 spots. Offensively, he showed explosive bat speed from a quiet, relaxed set-up. There’s controlled violence in the swing and he’s able to impact the baseball without compromising his actions. Registered a peak EV of 100.9 mph while averaging 88.8 on the day. Showed a max distance of 392 ft. To cap things off, he showed off the 2-way ability with a quality bullpen. Working from a low ¾ slot, there’s easy arm strength from a repeatable, low effort delivery. Topped at 82.1 while showing feel for a sweeping breaker and CH. Given his age and the time of year, it’s easy to imagine a velo jump coming in 2023. Overall, Manjooran has some of the best tools of any uncommitted player left in the class.

Cooper Markham RHP / 3B / Enumclaw , WA / 2025

Back in February, Markham attended the PNW Preseason ID and showed a solid 3 pitch mix with a FB that sat 79-81 in his bullpen. Fast forward to the Fall where we had the chance to see Markham across 2 events, the FB is now up to 85-86 on multiple looks with an above average spin rate. Simply put, the arm works freely and easily with a continuous path and late intent out front. At 6’2, 170, there’s enough size to maintain velocity and control his delivery without having to dial things back. FB comes out of hand with carry and ride into the zone and he does a consistent job of staying behind the baseball. Right now the CB is his best secondary between 68-71 with up to 2,300 rpm and 11/5 shape. He doesn’t need the CH much but it flashes at least average and he shows the ability to skill spin. It’s a starter profile with the makings of a solid 3 pitch arsenal.

George Hurley 3B / RHP / Seattle Preparatory School , WA / 2025

A do-it-all type player with a throwback style to his game. Hurley has wiry strength throughout his build at 5’10, 155 and the baseball actions come very easily to him. While we’ve mostly seen him handle duties at 3B and flash consistent barrel control at the plate, he most recently impressed late in the summer with some exceptional pitching and a solid velocity jump. With a quick paced, athletic delivery and some twitchy arm action, Hurley topped at 85 on our look while pumping FBs into the zone in the 81-84 range. He also showed a reliable CB at 69-71 and a fading CH. While projecting development is never an exact science, Hurley seems to be on trajectory to keep trending up on the mound. The arm talent really stands out and in general, players with his athleticism & arm speed can make impressive jumps in a short period of time.
