Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Gage Hammond (Saline HS)

By Mike Penn
Michigan Director of Scouting

Gage Hammond (OF, 2013) traditionally has been a streaky hitter for Saline but it appears that the senior is finally finding his rhythm this season.

So far on the year,  Hammond has led off the game  three with homeruns for the Hornets and he has four dingers on the year.  Hammond is an above-average centerfielder who takes great routes and has tremendous instincts.  The 5-foot-11 Hammond runs a 6.9 60. The big question marks with Hammond have been his arm and his ability to hit at the next level.

It appears at least one of those questions is starting to be answered.

For a school looking to add depth in the outfield, Hammond is a great fit. Additionally he is an outstanding football player and has been recruited to do both at the next level.
