Unsigned Senior Spotlight: LHP,Riley Futterknecht, Elkhart Central

Futterknecht is a 5-foot-11, 160 pound senior. In the field he was 82 mph with a long loose arm action. On the mound he throws from a high  ¾ arm slot. His fastball is consistently 80-82, topping out at 84 mph and is consistently in the zone. He throws a 70-72 mph breaking ball and a 68-69 mph change-up consistently for strikes. At the plate he has the tendency to coil, but shows good balance with quick bat speed producing some pop. Futterknecht hit .455 with 19 RBI,15 Runs and had an OBP of .548 last spring  for Elkhart Central. On the mound for Elkhart Central he was 4-1 with a 2.74 ERA and had 40 strikeouts in 23 IP.
