Unsigned Senior Spotlight: PJ Morgan (Hilliard Davidson)

PJ Morgan, OF, Hilliard Davidson

At 6’0 and 175 pounds, PJ Morgan hopes to make a big impact during his final season at Hilliard Davidson.

The speedy outfielder, believes with his team's talent they can contend for an OCC title and make run in the State Playoffs.

Last summer, the senior attend his first PBR showcase. He felt it was a great experience.

“The PBR showcase that I attended helped some coaches see me.  The video that was made at the showcase has really helped with market myself to coaches.”

Morgan, who has not made his college decision for next fall, is being courted by several schools, such as Otterbein, Ohio Wesleyan, and a few other Division III schools.

PJ says, “I am keeping my options open right now, but I hope to make a decision in the next few months.”

With a 3.45 GPA, baseball is just one of many factors when making a college decision.  However, PJ feels that “... academics are the most important thing to me, because baseball won't last forever, next would be the coaching staff.  I want to play for a coaching staff that is fun to be around, will mentor me, and from which I can learn.”

With a 6.77 60-yard dash, speed is obviously his biggest strength.  “As an outfielder that is a big asset to have and I have worked really hard in the off-season to continuing to improve my speed and build my overall strength.” says Morgan.

During the summer, Morgan can be seen playing in the outfield for Ohio Elite Huesman.

They are expecting to play in tournaments at: Columbus, Cincinnati, Michigan State, University of Pittsburgh, and the Pastime National Championship in Indianapolis.
