PLAYERS ON THE RISE

- Dylan Brewer (OF, Latta)

The lean OF's stock has been on an upward trajectory all season and he may have made enough of a name for himself to hear his named called in this years draft. The tools project to the next level and will translate when aided by additional player development. Brewer is a + runner with a long loose gate that makes him a rangy OF. There is an easy whip to the barrel that generates carry off the bat. Combine these tools with a developing defensive tool and strong arm and he could make a team happy in this years draft. Brewer is a Clemson signee.

- Will McGregor (LHP, TL Hanna)

McGregor is an intriguing prospect with a strong physical frame and quick arm stroke. McGregor was 88-91 and touched 92 during the SC Select Game. The breaking ball is thrown with firm bite and developing feel at 74 mph and he has present feel for a CH from 78-80. McGregor is a South Carolina signee.

- Trotter Harlan (SS/2B, Hillcrest)

The Gatorade SC Player of the Year has seen his stock rise this season after an unbelievable 2019 campaign. He has collected a plethora of post season awards with more to come. Harlan is a high level athlete with a solid defensive tool and the ability to translate his defense to the next level. He has an advanced hit tool with a controlled understanding of the strike zone and a gap to gap approach. He is a sneaky runner who will have a chance to put pressure on opposing pitchers on the bases if he picks his spots. Harlan is a College of Charleston signee.

- John Lanier (1B/LHP, Blythewood)

"Johnny Baseball" put together a great 2019 earning the 5A Player of the Year award along the way. His projectable frame is already physically advanced and should be easily polished when he reaches the next level. He is currently a serviceable defender but the hit tool is what tells the story. There is gap to gap power present with a touch more pop to the pull side. He has a quiet load with few moving parts that allows him to be on time for multiple offerings and to drive balls to all fields. He also put together a great year on the mound. Lanier is a Citadel signee.

- Alberto Osuna (1B, Mauldin)

Osuna earned MVP honors for his team in the SC Select Game. The frame is thick with strength throughout and surprising athleticism. Osuna homered deep to the opposite field in the Select Game showing off the plus raw power. His large profile will take minimal effort to polish at the next level. Osuna is a Walters State CC signee.

- Travis Lott (C, Stratford)

Another Citadel recruit who has had a strong 2019 campaign. Lott's campaign started with a selection to the Shipyard/PBR All Tournament Team. The primary catcher also possesses an athletic skillset that could see him shift to 1B. He has a naturally lofted bat path with plus pull side power. Given the current body type and present strength it shouldn't take much work to finish his player development at the next level and give him a chance to impact the Bulldogs program early on. Lott is a Citadel signee.
