Through our "Boots on the Ground" approach to scouting, we at PBR Maryland are committed to providing the most comprehensive year-round coverage of amateur baseball across the state. With the new year nearing, today we release our final update of 2021 to the Class of 2024 rankings. Twenty-five new faces enter today's update to include the Top 100 players from across the Old Line State and Delaware.
The top 5 remain unchanged in this update with Saint James RHP Maclelland Stiffler retaining the top spot. St. Michael's LHP and University of Maryland commit Jacob Seek remains #2; with Georgetown Prep SS/RHP Ryan Maxey, Clear Spring RHP/SS Dawson Kehr, and North East SS/RHP Luke Keefer (University of Maryland) rounding out the top 5.
Archbishop Spalding RHP/3B Jake Yeager continues to rise, up two more spots to #6 overall and making the biggest splash inside the top 10 in this update is Urbana RHP Eli DeRossi-Cytron. The long, 6'3'', 180 pound DeRossi-Cytron was lights out in several opportunities to see him on the circuit this summer and fall. A bulldog on the mound in every sense of the term, De-Rossi Cytron pounds the zone with oozing confidence and two quality off-speed pitches that play well off of his mid 80's fastball. With still tons of projection, the righty is starting to really generate some buzz amongst college programs across the region.
