Take a look at players that made significant jumps in the most recent 2024 rankings update. We have highlighted multiple players through our High & Tight podcast, rankings release stories, and now we will take a look at a few more that have made a jump.

2024 Big Risers

Logan Eisenreich RHP / OF / Paul VI, VA / 2024

Eisenreich was the workhorse and frontline arm for Paul VI this season. Our staff had a chance to see him multiple times. The fastball stayed in the 88-91 range most of the time and showed the ability to run it to 92 multiple times, as well as touching 93. The slider has shown some future value and can be a strong out pitch. As the Virginia Tech commit continues to add polish, he could continue to creep up in the 2024 state rankings.

Cayden Suchy LHP / Dominion, VA / 2024

The UConn commit was an arm we have been wanting to see for a while. While it was a brief look, the Dominion left hander showed some ability to be a potential frontline arm in this VA/DC 2024 class. Left hander that was up to 90 and a slider that has some present swing and miss ability.

Jack Feehery LHP / 1B / Gonzaga, VA / 2024

The uncommitted left hander exploded onto our radar early this spring. Low slot, different look, mid 80's velo, potentially more down the road, and elite spin. While the velocity is not always overpowering, the fact that he is a low slot lefty with ability to throw strikes consistently and spin it at an elite level makes him one of the most coveted uncommitted arms remaining in the 2024 class.

Elijah Coston OF / LHP / Benedictine, VA / 2024

Coston has started to put it all together when the lights come on. Always an intriguing follow because of his tools, they have started to translate to gameplay. Potentially thought of to be an arm long term, the bat has really shown upside this spring. Big arm in the outfield, average to slightly above average runner, and left/left that is usually mid 80's on the mound. He will run it up to the 87-88 range, but tends to work in the 83-86 range. VCU commit.

Andrew Perks OF / OF / WT Woodson, VA / 2024

Perks has proven his value and ability this spring. 6.8 runner with hand and bat speed and sneaky pop in the bat. The frame has started to fill out and the added strength is showing at the plate. Had a big night in mid March with three hits, including two loud doubles. Has the footspeed and range to stay in center.
