Twice a week during the season, we will post scoreboards. Our focus will be to make sure we get up every score from teams in the Power 25 or in consideration for the Power 25. We will also post scores that are easily accessible via GameChanger or MaxPreps.

Thursday, April 7

#2 Hanover 9, First Academy (FL) 2
The Hawks won their second game at NHSI in extra innings and senior Seth Keller (Old Dominion) put on a show, striking an event-record 16 in 7 innings of 2-hit ball while also going 2-4 with a double. Cannon Peebles (NC State) was 3-5 with 2 RBI and Owen DeShazo (Boston College) and Nolan Williamson also had multi-hit games.

#14 James Madison 14, St. Francis de Sales (OH) 6
Bannon Brazell had home run and a double and 4 RBIs and Mac Lewis was 3-3 with an RBI while Jason Cassidy was 3-4 with an RBI.

Connor Moore was 3-3 with 2 2Bs and Tanner Wharton was 2-3 with 2 2Bs for the Warhawks.

#16 Abingdon 16, Ridgeview 2
Ethan Gibson (Virginia Tech) was 2-4 with a 2B and a home run and Jett Humphreys was 3-4 with a 2B in the win.

Greenup County (KY) 2, #20 Westfield 1
Logan Day was a tough luck loser, going 5 innings strong and striking out 7. Sam Marco and Jason Cheifetz (JMU) each had 2 hits.

#21 First Colonial 2, Landstown 0 
Four pitchers combined on a 3-hit shutout and Dylan Northup (Mary Washington) was 2-4 and Alec Aguilar had an RBI for the Patriots.

#4 Cape Henry Collegiate 12, Norfolk Academy 2
Jack Wickum mashed 2 home runs including a grand slam and Parker Wight also had a multi-homer game while Kenny Schaedel (?) and Cooper Angilly got in on the home run fun as the Dolphins dropped 6 bombs in the game. 

#5 Liberty Christian 20, Heritage (Leesburg) 0
Ben Blondino struck out 8 in 3 innings, Logan Duff (UVA Wise??) had a home run and Tanner Thomas (Liberty??) was a home run short of a cycle in the game.

#8 Greenbrier Christian 6, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 1
Bailey Matela (Old Dominion) struck out 11 in six innings, allowing just 3 hits. Brandon Dahlman was 2-3 with 2 2Bs and 2 RBIs and Gavin Whitehurst (Wilson Memorial??) was 2-2 with 2 RBIs.

Jason Cassidy was 2-2 with a 2B and a BB as 2022 Clemson commit Hogan Garner held the Warhawk offense to 3 hits in 4 innings.

Christian Abney threw a 2-hitter in the win and John Stansbury and Brandon Cassedy (CNU) had doubles.

#4 Cape Henry Collegiate 1, First Flight (NC) 0
Brendan Hawley tossed 5.1 innings as the starter and Garrison Wight closed out the shutout. Yoon Chae delivered an RBI and on a walk-off single after a Cooper Angilly double in the seventh to win the game.

 #10 Highland 4, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 2
Brennen Card (William & Mary) threw 4.2 strong and Luke Craddock had a multi-hit game in the win.

#19 Battlefield 10, Potomac 0
Jack Robinson (Roanoke) threw 4 scoreless innings and Grayson Snead, JP Williams (George Mason), and Kehler Hamilton all had multi-hit games for the Bobcats.
