We have made it to the final week of the 2022 High School season in Virginia/DC, and with that, we will have our first normal VHSL State Tournament since 2019. As usual, the Region Champs will host their Quarterfinal matchups with Regions A and B paired up and Regions C and D the other pairing. One change this year is that after the first round the brackets will cross, so there is no way two teams from the same Region could meet before the State Championship Game.

This year, Loudoun County Public Schools put in a combined bid to host the event, with four schools in the central portion of the county hosting. For the purpose of baseball, John Champe HS in South Riding will be the site for all Class 6 games, and Riverside HS outside of Leesburg will be the host site for all of the Class 5 games.

For each Class, we have the full bracket as well as some short notes on each team's season so far and players to watch. To hear more discussion as well as to find out who our staff picked, be sure to listen to this week's episode of High & Tight.
