Veteran's Day Challenge Championship

LAS VEGAS, NV – The Veteran’s Day Challenge came to a close, the Nevada Sports Academy (NSA) rode the right arm of Christopher Cascardo  (2021) to the championship game.  A complete game effort, they held the visiting CBA 2019 squad scoreless.  Cascardo relied heavily on the use of his changeup to keep the CBA hitters at arm’s length.  He showed area control of his fastball and used the breaking ball conservatively.  The CBA hitters never quite seemed to adjust to the full arm changeup that possessed some delivery deception as well.  The NSA group was spirited and showed up ready to play.  Their roster, filled with underclassman, was poised.  Offensively, they capitalized on some key mistakes that extended the bottom of the 4th inning, leading to an eventual nine run advantage and early end to the scheduled seven inning contest. In the end, NSA fell a short, losing the championship game 8-3 to Oak Hills (CA).
