It is with great pleasure that we release tonight our initial class of 2021 Virginia/DC Rankings. As with all rankings, the class of 2021 ranks will continue to grow until we enter their senior year with much shifting and shuffling as we continue to cover the state with our boots-to-the-ground approach to scouting.  

As always, this initial rankings consist of the top 30 players we have had the opportunity to see whether it be at a high school game, summer game, or one of our very own PBR Virginia events. Position players dominate the rankings early on, as only six pitcher only's enter the top thirty. That will be sure to change, as each year players will continue to develop their physicality and arm strength, and that should espeically translate to the mound.

Having said that, our No.1 propsect int he 2021 class is a two wa talent that already boasts a fastball up to 89 mph with physicality and the ability to pitch. In at No. 1 is Benedictine star in the making, RHP/OF Jay Woolfolk. Woolfolk is also a two sport talent who also excels on the football field, making for a dynamic athlete.

In at No. 2 is Virginia Tech commit Jaron McNeil. McNeil is a high upside outfield talent who will roam the middle or be able to play in right with his his already plus arm strength. McNeil has a short and simple swing at the plate who should turn himself into a top of the order type player with occasional pop down the road.

Rounding out our top five include Greenbrier Christian athlete C Austin Younce, Fort Defiance HS updside arm and two way talent IF/RHP Tristan Shoemaker, and offensive middle infield prospect SS Carson DeMartini of Ocean Lakes HS.

Again, these rankings are going to see much change in the year to come, but lets take a sneak peek into the top ten.
