Our first week of the VA/DC Power Rankings saw plenty of shakeup from top to bottom, with three new teams coming into the fold after impressive starts to the season. A New No. 1 takes over with Liberty Christian taking over the top spot with a 2-0 week. Previous No. 1 Miller school went 3-3 on the start of the season, but do not drop down too much because of their very tough start to the season with a southern trip taking on some of the top programs in the southern states.

Biggest riser this week goes to Atlee who although only went 1-0 on the week, that win was against Previously No. 11 Prince George, who now moves down to No. 16. Highest newcomer to enter the rankings goes to Great Bridge after an impressive 2-0 week. Wildcats Caleb Elder threw a No-Hitter against  Grassfield, then the Wildcats shut out defending 6A champ Western Branch with an impressive 12-0 victory.

James River (Midlothian) enters the rankings in the No. 19 spot after an impressive victory over the No. 3 Hanover by the score of 13-4. Highland is our last new face in the rankings after a 4-0 week with victories over Atlantic Shores and Nansemond Suffolk. Stone Bridge holds on to the rankings dropping down tied at No. 25 after a tight loss to then No. 15 Riverside.
