As we continue our look at uncommitted prospects across the state, we go back to our Washington Pre-Season ID event this past February. Below is the group of 2022 grads who were in attendance that day.

After strong performances, expect some of these prospects to land in our updated 2022 player rankings that are coming out soon.

2022 grads

Anthony Andrews OF / 2B / Nathan Hale, WA / 2022

5-foot-6, 160 pounds with an average, proportional build to his frame. Sets up in a balanced, relaxed stance. Maintains tall posture as he lifts front foot into a slow, controlled stride. Hands stay below rear shoulder and hold that position into landing. Keeps hands inside of the ball with tight, compact swing. Showed some extension after contact. Generated more lift to his pull-side. Keeps balance throughout. 2-handed finish thru contact. In the OF, begins with feet outside of shoulder width and weight centered. Feet work quickly and stay active as he receives ball. Gets around ball and transitions quickly into throwing motion. Exchanges ball at chest height and gets fully extended with throwing arm after hand break. Arm action gets shorter/compact into high ¾ release.

Connor Enebrad 1B / LHP / Annie Wright/Stadium, WA / 2022

6-foot, 150 pounds with a wiry build throughout his frame. Starts in an open stance with weight pre-loaded onto his back leg. Hands stay relaxed as he closes off alignment and gets into forward move. Loose, easy barrel action into the zone with a high finish after contact. Works quick to the ball with minimal movement in his hands. Firms up front leg at contact to give him some leverage. Handled all the opportunities he had on defensive at 1B during the workout. Defends with a controlled, deliberate pace to his actions. Showed a quick, clean exchange with a lower arm slot when coming off the bag into 3-6-3 double play feed. Adjusted to a higher, near ¾ release on throws across the diamond from behind the bag. On the mound, pitched exclusively out of the stretch. Comes set with tall posture, staying extended on backside. High leg lift with some coil towards his back shoulder. Keeps a level shoulder plane as he gets down the slope with eyes on target. Arm path shows some length after hand break before quickly shortening up and being on time at landing. Balanced, upright finish after release.

Keaton Fisher 1B / RHP / Glacier Peak, WA / 2022

Tall framed with length in his frame at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds. Projectable build. Upright, tall stance in the box with slightly open lower half. Stays tall into subtle ‘knee knock’ load. Hands sync up with forward move as they stretch back to rear shoulder. Possesses the prototypical smooth, lefty stroke with easy, fluid bat speed. Combination of barrel path and long levers in his lower half help him lift the ball consistently. Gets full hip rotation thru contact. Big target with large catch radius at 1B. Stays low on the ball by establishing a wide base and dropping hips as he funnels in. Glove hand gets ball out in front. Feet move well around the bag and he shows plenty of coordination to handle all the necessary plays. Full arm path with high ¾ release. Pitches with a clean, repeatable delivery on the mound. Side steps into high leg lift. Keeps weight gathered over backside. Lead leg works down then out as he breaks hands before taking short forward stride. Keeps length in lower half throughout, staying tall at landing with a level shoulder plane. Slight pause in arm action then a clean, loose finish thru high, over the top release.

Colby Holmdahl 1B / LHP / Glacier Peak, WA / 2022

5-foot-9, 195 pounds with some present strength. Starts narrow with some bend in his lower half and tall posture in the box. Shifts weight back with a slow, deliberate load before getting into leg kick. Hands gradually pull back as he gets to landing, allowing for quick, clean bat speed. Barrel shows a lot of plate coverage with a high finish after contact. Consistently gets backside thru the ball. Defensively, uses a pre-pitch hop and lands in a balanced stance with slight bend at the waist. Stayed wide with a low center of gravity on the opportunities hit directly at him. Showed a clean exchange on 3-6-3 double play feed. Full arm path with high ¾ release. On the mound, delivery starts out quick with a slide step into leg lift. Slight hesitation at hand break allows him to keep weight gathered over the rubber. Creates angle in shoulder plane with a high glove side. Flattens out his upper half at landing so he can work downhill from high ¾ release point. Slight cross action at landing. Arm shows some looseness after release.

Julius Hooks SS / OF / Tahoma, WA / 2022

5-foot-9, 155 pounds with an athletic build. Sets up with feet in a narrowly open stance and front side lined up with pitcher. Uses a low, controlled leg lift to create forward move on the ball. Upper half stays relaxed at landing with bend in lead arm. Short levers give him a compact swing with smooth bat speed. Head stays down thru contact. Keeps upper/lower half connected and maintains control of the barrel into a high finish. Showcased both in the OF and at SS. Covers ground in the OF with a quick tempo and athletic footwork. Uses a side shuffle to get direction towards target and momentum on throws. Did a consistent job of staying behind the ball & receiving out front with a clean transition into his arm action. Uses a high, over the top release with an aggressive pull-down. At SS, shows some bounce in his step with lateral quickness. Ranges to his glove-side in rhythm with the ball, allowing him to keep moving thru the play. Quick release and exchange on back-hand. Fluid hands on double play feed to 2nd. Has exceptional arm strength from both OF and INF.

Aiden Jackson SS / 3B / Bellarmine, WA / 2022

5-foot-10, 175 pounds with developing strength in his frame. Wide set-up in the box with some weight initially shifted on his back leg. Begins with low, relaxed hand placement under rear shoulder. Has a smooth load with minimal leg lift into short forward stride. Hands work in rhythm with stride & get into hitting position at landing. Stays balanced and holds posture while showing a quick barrel thru the zone. Clean swing with uphill finish thru contact. Defensively at SS, starts narrow then gets into a wider base after pre-pitch hop. Keeps some length in lower half as he funnels ball in, using more bend at the waist to stay down and over the ball. Gets movement going towards his target while working into his exchange. Maintains a steady tempo throughout. Keeps hands tight before separating into short, compact arm action. Ball shows true carry out of hand with accuracy. On the bump, has a mechanically sound and consistent delivery. Hands start set at waist height before syncing up with his high leg lift. Stays tall at hand break with minimal bend on his back leg. Holds a level shoulder plane as he gets into stride. Keeps glove side closed into landing. Short, bent arm action that creates some deception into ¾ release point. Tall, upright finish on all of his offerings.

Christian Jarocki 2B / RHP / Mount Si, WA / 2022

Rounded upper half with some strength in his build at 5-foot-7, 180 pounds. Starts in a narrow stance, slightly crouched over the plate. Front side turned in towards the plate. Quick, low leg lift into short forward stride. Uses a subtle hand load to create separation. Maintains slight crouch/hip hinge in posture as he initiates swing. Barrel gets into the zone deep and he flashed consistent lift throughout BP. High finish thru contact against a strong, extended front leg. At SS, uses some pre-pitch movement into a wide, athletic set-up with his lower half. Shows quality movement in hips while working down to the ball. Upper half flattens out and stays over glove hand as he receives. Ranges laterally with a deliberate tempo to his actions. Full arm path with a ¾ release point. Pitched entirely out of the stretch during bullpen. Works from the 3rd base side of the rubber. Drives up lead leg just above shoulder height with knee angled towards back shoulder. Front hip opens up to center of the mound, clearing his hips at landing and allowing for clean direction towards target. Arm action shows full extension before shortening up into high ¾ release. Backside comes thru out over front leg on all of his offerings. Eyes stay on target after finish.

Sterling Lipscomb SS / 3B / Shadle Park, WA / 2022

6-foot, 185 pounds with a solid, durable build and proportional frame. Wide set-up in the box with knees angled towards each other and tall posture. Takes a short forward stride to close off slightly open lower half to the pitcher. Hands show subtle movement as he gets to landing, angling knob of the bat towards catcher. Fluid, relaxed swing with feel for generating consistent hard contact. Stays inside of the ball with some adjustability to his swing plane. Holds balance thru contact. Defensively, controls his actions well at SS. Footwork has a smooth, deliberate tempo throughout. Avoids getting too rushed or losing control of his glove hand. Fluid exchange as he opens up hips for 6-4 double play feed with low, loose arm action. Quick, bent arm action with low ¾ release and accurate ball flight out of hand.

Jake Smith RHP / OF / Mount Si, WA / 2022

6-foot, 195 pounds with a stocky, strong frame and physically mature build. Feet start just outside of shoulder width in the box, slightly open to pitcher. Gets directly into forward stride with minimal lift in front leg. Hands stay relaxed with a short, controlled load that puts them just beyond his back shoulder. Overall has very subtle, simple movements prior to initiating swing. Short, strong levers allow him to create a powerful, compact swing with lift as he finishes. In the OF, has clean footwork with long, powerful strides. Works to get body on the side of the ball as he funnels in. Stays aligned with target as he exchanges into throwing motion. Uses a quick step-behind shuffle with his lower half. Eliminates any extra steps or wasted movement with a quick release on the ball. Throws from high ¾ slot with compact arm action. On the mound, pitches with a clean, repeatable delivery. Syncs up movement with his glove to leg lift and stride from lower half. Slight drop and drive action as he breaks hands and gets down the mound.  Lands with lead leg aligned at target, allowing him to get out and rotate over his front hip. Short, clean arm action with high ¾ release point. Gets extension from upper half with eyes on target as he finishes.
