With the 2017 spring season right around the corner, PBR New England is eagerly anticipating bringing the New England states the best high school coverage throughout the region.
Starting in Late-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2017 CONNECTICUT SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: Waterford
Team Name: Waterford
Head Coach: Art Peluso 120-32
Division: M, ECC
2016 Record: 23-3
Conference Record: ECC 10-0
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/3
2017 Team Strengths:
- Starting Pitching and defense
2017 Team Weaknesses:
- Offensive production
Coach Outlook: "Three returning pitching starters, 2016 combined record 17-2. Return 45% of offensive production (hits/RBI'/Runs). We will need players new to the varsity level pick up some of the offensive production lost to graduation."
PBR Outlook: Waterford has one of the better pitchers in the state Michael Burrows, ranked 9th in New England in the class of 2018, committed to UConn, is a big time are. Look for them to be in the thick of it for the ECC title and to go deep into the state tournament.
