We Give Thanks (2022 Class)

Alex Armand
Louisiana Scouting Director

Thanksgiving is a time for reflection on the things and people that we are thankful and grateful for.  2021 has been another fantastic year for us here at PBR Louisiana, and we couldn't have done it without the help of our entire staff, and most importantly, we couldn't have done it without all of the great players and parents across the state.  THANK YOU for all of the support throughout this year!  We began a new Thanksgiving tradition last year with our "We Give Thanks" story.  Just as we did a year ago, we contacted a few players from the 2022 class and asked them, "As you prepare for your final high school season, who and/or what, are you most thankful and grateful for?"  Their individual responses are below.  Thank you to all that participated, as we are thankful for you guys and we can't wait to watch our great state get after it this spring!

2022 Luke Hill (Episcopal HS)

"I'm thankful for my family.  They have been there throughout all of my life and I couldn't be more grateful.  I am also blessed to have great coaches that help me work towards my dream and without them, I wouldn't be where I am today."

2022 Ethan Frey (Rosepine HS)

"I'm most thankful for my parents because of what they've done for me and the sacrifices that they have made that have allowed me to chase my dream and be successful."

2022 Haydan Toal (Tioga HS)

"As I think back on this past year, I have many blessings to be thankful for.  Among those are my teammates, coaches, and family.  As we begin to prepare for my last high school season together, I want to take in each and every moment from fielding ground balls at practice, to taking long bus rides in the "Big Cheese", and dancing in the field house after a win.  These memories with my brothers will last a lifetime.  I've been blessed with some special coaches along this baseball journey.  They have put in many tireless hours to push and encourage me and my teammates to be the best that we can be on the baseball diamond and in life.  For that, I am thankful."

2022 Gavin Guidry (Barbe HS)

"God has blessed me with a lot in my life.  I am most thankful for my family and friends that have helped me be a better person every day.  The friendships and connections that I have made through baseball are incredible and something that will never be replaced!"
