While portions of Virginia and the District continued to suffer through a good example of Seattle weather last week, most teams were able to get games in as the public schools wrapped their regular seasons and the private schools played their conference tournaments.

The top six teams in the rankings went unbeaten and remained in their places, with Greenbrier Christian remaining No. 1 as the Gators won the TCIS Championship on Friday. No. 3 Liberty Christian continued to dominate Seminole District opponents early in the week, continuing what is one of the more intriguing storylines of the spring as the Bulldogs are the lone private school that will participate in the VHSL playoffs.

St. John's College moved up one spot to No. 7 after the Cadets won their third straight WCAC Championship over the weekend, taking two out of three from Paul VI Catholic in a wildly competitive semifinal series and the sweeping Good Counsel with a pair of one-run wins in the Championship Series.

Jefferson Forest continued its winning streak and moved up to No. 9, and the Cavaliers have the pitching to challenge Liberty Christian in the Conference 23 Tournament and the 4A West Regional.

Kettle Run, George C. Marshall, Chantilly, and Millbrook round out the Top 15 as all four schools continued their dominance of their Conferences, positioning themselves for deep Regional runs. The other story to watch in the coming weeks is the 4A West Region, which has four teams ranked in the Top 15 as well as a handful of teams just outside the rankings, all of which will be battling for two tickets to the State Tournament at Liberty University.

Five new teams entered the rankings this week as they have caught fire down the stretch run. Collegiate School has rattled off ten straight wins and twelve of their last thirteen as they have gotten Will Allocca (Virginia) back in their lineup, setting them up as one of the hottest teams in the VISAA I playoffs.

Colonial Forge enters the rankings after the Eagles won key conference games over C.D. Hylton and Riverbend. Menchville enters the rankings as they continue to reel off win after win in Hampton Roads action. Mills Godwin enters the rankings after recovering from a slow start to win its last nine games as the pitching staff has been dominant down the stretch. Re-entering the rankings this week is West Springfield, which swept its season series with Lake Braddock last week and wrapped up its regular season conference championship.
