6/02/21

Stanford Commit, 6-foot-2, 210-pound solid physical frame. Solid at the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 98 mph. Begins in a tall quiet stance with a quick tight load, then uses a controlled stride. Has efficient bat speed, level loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Confident while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 78 mph; has sure hands, rhythmic consistent feet, and a clean natural exchange. Shows out front glove work. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.84.

8/22/19

Another one of our big-bodied corner infielders, Blair has a quick, physical bat with well above average pop. 6.87 runner, moves well and has above average athleticism for his big frame. When he barrels up, it goes. Contact and barrel ability is average, but has the chance to come along and make his power play more. Has the tendency to get a little stiff and long. Defensively, he has quick, fluid actions and displayed good body control on the backhand and slow roller. Strong, smooth arm was 79-81 across the infield. 92 exit velocity.

2/08/19

Perhaps one of the most intriguing uncommitted underclass prospects in attendance. He has continued to add physicality to an impressive frame and looks as much like a linebacker as a third basemen. The measurables were impressive as well. Ran a 6.87 60 yard dash in very tough conditions, was 83 mph across the infield and had an exit velocity of 94 mph. Although he showed more than just measurables. While he will need to continue to improve rhythm at third, he is a sound defender. The bat really plays up though. He uses the strength throughout his frame well, with a leg kick trigger he stays balanced in the lower half and compact through the zone while generating above average bat speed with the strength. Overall, he has a lot of tools and a high offensive ceiling with the chance to both hit for average and power.

8/22/18

One of the biggest winners of the day the physical 6-foot-2, 195 pound third baseman has present athleticism and multiple above average tools. Defensively, he moves well, under control but above average range with above average defensive potential for third base. Offensively, there is present whippiness in the swing, with above average bat speed. He has a strong lower half and stays compact while generating bat speed and power. An exit velocity of 90 mph, he also had a single in the game. The bat works and has hit/power potential. High follow.
