Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-foot-4, 180-pounds. Large, projectable frame, broad shoulders, lots of room to fill out.
Delivery: Drop and drive delivery, stays tall, strides across the mound, creates a difficult angle for the batter, lands square, finishes square to home, easy effort throughout.
Arm Action: RH. Short, clean arm action, does a good job hiding the ball on back-side, some quickness, 3/4 slot.
FB: T84, 82-83 mph. Flashed armside run, good feel for.
SL: 73-75 mph. Tight cutting action, around the zone with.
CH: 75-76 mph. Fade and sink action, potential swing and miss pitch.
Fall Underclass Trials
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-foot-4, 180-pounds. Large, projectable frame, broad shoulders, lots of room to fill out.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, hands start high and remain high on load, short stride, good balance. Easy effort swing, barrel path is level through the zone, generates hard line drive contact, when he gains extension he is able to drive the ball with force to the pull-side.
Power: 88 mph exit velocity from the tee. Present hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 78 mph. Long arm action to a 3/4 slot, accurate across the diamond and turning double plays.
Defense: Moves athletically around the bag, plays through the ball, clean on exchanges and with footwork.
Run: 7.59 runner in the 60.
Very projectable arm; 6-foot-3, 155 pounds. Upright delivery with a short stride. Arm worked quick from an over-the-top slot. Frontside and stride work on-line. Very good balance throughout. Athletic actions and base; strength and velocity will come for the young arm as the FB sat in the upper-70s. Strong command.
