6.15.17 - 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop with a lanky frame. Stands out for his glove. Defensively has a short, loose arm action from an over the top slot. Accurate throws with carry throwing 82 mph across the infield. Fluid defensive actions with soft, sure hands. Clean exchange with plus body control. At the plate hits from a tall, slightly open setup. Short stride with good balance and a long, uphill swing path. 78 mph exit velocity from a tee. Plus runner running a 6.73 60-yard dash.

5.27.17 - Currently ranked No. 39 in the Illinois Class of 2018. 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop with a lanky, athletic frame. Has made strides at the plate since we last saw him. Went 2-3 in game with two singles. Upright, slightly open setup. Loose hands with a quick bat and short swing path. 4.61 on the turn. Defensively gets good jumps off the bat, made a nice play on a pop up in the Bermuda triangle. 

2.19.17 - Wiry projectable frame, long loose limbs, 6-foot, 160-pound shortstop. Plus runner for age, 6.73 runner in the 60, laser timed. Highly athletic defender, moves well, confident soft hands, easy actions, projects well. Arm action is short and over the top, carries well, advanced arm for age, 86 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, tall setup, balanced stance, short lifted and replace stride. Easy swing, flat path on level plane, current singles type hitter, works gap to gap. 77 mph exit velocity from the tee.

Future Games 2016 - 6-foot, 155-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder; long, thin frame, high waist, physically immature. High-ceiling prospect when/if he fills into his frame. Athleticism, hands, actions are all there. Ran a 6.84 laser-timed 60, fluid gait, light on his feet. Ranges well laterally, long, easy strides, fields the ball in rhythm, plays well on the move, soft hands, quick transfer. Athletic arm, shows ability to make throws from multiple angles, 82-mph across the infield. Defense-first prospect.  Offensively, quiet mechanics, spray approach, athletic hands, inconsistent path. Registered 78-mph exit velocity.

6.8.16 - 6-foot, 155-pound, infielder with plenty of room for continued physical development. Shenault continues to prove he is one of the top defensive infielders in the 2018 class. Smooth, athletic actions with plus body control. Flashes supreme confidence in his hands which work soft and out in front of his body. Quick, easy transfer and feet work through the baseball. Loose, athletic arm action, accurate throws with carry and clocked at 78 mph across the diamond. Offensively, barrel control, line-drive approach and spray-type hitter. Balanced setup, early load, short leg-lift timing trigger and good balance through contact. Flashed the ability to backspin the baseball; short, level bat path. Registered a 70 mph exit velocity. Also, ran a 7.09 laser-timed 60.

1.17.16 - Lanky athletic frame, squared shoulders, wiry build, highly projectable body, 6-foot, 145-pound shortstop. Defensively showed extremely confident hands, soft and cushions the baseball, quick twitch type defender, athletic and plays through the baseball. 6.94 runner in the 60, flashed explosiveness. Arm action is loose and showed flashes of playing athletically when on the move, 80 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, balance setup, short stride. Two piece swing, minimal load, gets foot down early, simple swing, path is short and stays on top of the baseball. 73 mph exit velocity from the tee.

1.18.15 - 5-foot-11, 140-pound right-handed hitting SS/RHP hits from a balanced, square stance, no stride approach, hands load back slightly, long, level bat path, quick hands, 68 mph exit velocity off the tee. Defensively, threw 73 mph across the diamond from long, loose, ¾ arm slot, soft hands fielding the baseball, fluid footwork, plays through the baseball, athletic, middle infield actions. Ran a 7.52 60.
