6-foot-2, 170-pound frame with projection. Worked in relief for O’Fallon in this look, not allowing an earned run over his five innings, striking out six. Subtle side step starts delivery, tight lead leg lifts to an upright balance point, tall/fall type mover downhill, finishes onto a closed front foot. Short, tight arm action, high ¾ slot. Fastball touched 83 mph early, sitting 80-82 mph, working down in the zone and on the corners for strikes. Changed paces consistently and effectively with a 65-68 mph curveball with depth and gradual action. Also showed a straight changeup at 71-72 mph. A strike thrower that’s been effective for O’Fallon this spring, posting a 0.44 ERA over 16 innings of work thus far.
