Confident defender, showed soft hands, sets up low, quiet target, athletic block. Arm action is short and over the top, 75 mph out of the crouch. Pop times ranged 2.02-2.15. 7.53 runner in the 60.
1.15.18 - 5-foot-9, 152-pound left-handed hitting catcher/infielder. Defensively showed best behind the plate, arm played strong with some carry, 77 mph. Pop times ranged 2.07-2.19 out of the crouch. On the infield showed some actions and footwork. Arm played 80 mph across the diamond. 7.65 runner in the 60. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, uses short stride and smooth load. Balanced through contact, used loose quick hands. Level path with line drive approach, 77 mph exit velocity.10.23.16 - 5-foot-7, 138-pound catcher/infielder. 7.86 runner in the 60. Left-handed hitter, balanced setup, heel lift load. Average balance, line drive gap to gap hitter, 71 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm action is short, high ¾ slot, played at 70 mph out of the crouch. Pop times ranged 2.22-2.30. Showed best defensively on the infield. Fields athletically, flashed soft hands, fluid footwork and a clean transfer. Clocked at 77 mph across the diamond.
7.27.16 - 5-foot-6, 133-pound, left-handed hitting catcher. Offensively, balanced setup, smooth load, short stride. Short, level bat path, pull side approach; exit velocity clocked at 76 mph. From the infield, uses a short, high ¾ arm to produce accurate throws across the diamond. Throws were clocked at 77 mph. Behind the plate, uses the same high ¾ arm slot as seen in the field. Flashed clean exchanges and the ability to block. Pop times recorded between 2.26-2.32, throws clocked at 70 mph. Also, ran a 7.80 laser timed 60.
