Marist College recruit. Kapuscinksi possesses a strong and broad-shouldered build at 6-foot-3, 220-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.96 seconds. Recorded an exit velo of 96 MPH, one of the tops of the event. Starts at the plate with his feet even in a balanced stance. Hands start slightly below shoulder height and behind his body. Creates pre-swing rhythm. Minimal stride, on time. Hands stay locked in position. Easy bat speed, with natural tilt to his swing. Consistently strong contact. Showed pull side power. Maintains rhythm throughout. Defensively, took reps behind the plate. Recorded a top velo of 77 MPH on his throws. Made his transfer around chest height. Feet stay in line with his target. Pop times ranged from 1.93-2.03 seconds.

Kapuscinski has big bodied, strong build at 6-foot-3 215-pounds. At the plate, sets up in a wide stance and in a crouch with hands and bat just above back shoulder. Uses a small leg lift and stride to start swing. Small hand load – hands go up and back. Elbows rise and flatten out somewhat before he starts swing. Easy mechanical fix that can produce even more power.
Kapuscinski is strong bodied at 6-foot-2 215-pounds. Still growing into body, but already has signs of major power potential. Offensively, setup is wide and in a slight crouch. Hands are loaded prepitch, with weight mostly on his back leg. Small weight transfer and a toe tap for a load, but otherwise very quiet in his stance. Generates power from quick hips and hands. Occasionally wraps bat around his head, causing hands to cast away from body. Easy mechanical fix as he continues to mature. High follow prospect.
Kapuscinski stands 6-foot-2, 215-pounds with an above average build for a player his age. Already signs of advanced feel behind the plate with above average arm-strength and pop-times hovering the 2.0 mark. We saw him with Baseball U at the WWBA this past fall, where we left impressed by the freshman's bat-strength and arm. Next-level backstop to closely follow.
