Goranson has a broad shouldered, athletic frame at 6-foot 165-pounds. Was one of the top overall performers from the event and one of the top uncommitted 2020 catchers in the state. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.24-seconds and recorded an exit velocity of 89 MPH, one of the highest of the event. At the plate, Goranson starts in a tall, athletic stance with hands in line with back shoulder. As pitch arrives, Goranson uses a foot stride to start swing as hands load back and up slightly. Powerful, explosive hips and hands through the zone. Balanced finish with lift to swing. Behind the plate, Goranson topped at 82 MPH with throws to 2B and recorded pop times between 1.97-2.12 – both of which were top stats out of the catching crop of the event. Soft hands when receiving and stays low has he rises out of the crouch to throw. Efficient, quick movements in transfer out of the crouch help the ball get out of his hand with swiftness.
