Though not overpowering Weber shows great pitchability and movement on everything he throws. His 2 seam FB was 79-82 MPH after being brought in for the 12th and 13th inning of a marathon game. His FB had good run/sink action on it, as did his CU which was 68-70. The Gannon commit will be interesting to watch progress through the season.
New York Games (July 7-9, 2015)
Stands 5-foot-10, 134-pounds with a slender build. His delivery is balanced over the rubber but slower, uses a longer arm action, throws from a high-3/4 slot, fastball sat 74-78 mph (up to 78-80) on single plane. Curveball sat 68-70 with some loose early spin, finishes balanced over his front side. Touched 83 MPH this fall.
Western NY Winter Combine (January 3, 2015)
Weber stands 5-foot-10, 134-pounds with a slender build. From the mound he uses a wide setup, crouched over rubber. He uses a belt high knee lift, hip turn over rubber, good pace to his tempo, separates his hands over rubber before driving towards home. He uses the drop and drive method, hip opens slightly early, arm action is straight back. His shoulders stay level with good separation, long stride. Throws from a mid-3/4 slot, long finish over front side.
