6/25/19

A athletic projectable build 6-foot-4, 182 pounds. Ran a 7.54 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box in a tall stance with loose hands. Takes a short stride towards the pitcher. Has a direct path to the baseball with a flat bat path. Gets good extension after the point of contact. Stays balanced throughout his swing. Showed pull side pop. Top exit velocity was 87 MPH. Defensively- has an aggressive approach to the baseball. Stays under control. Fields the ball slightly off center. Shows active footwork. Takes time to gather himself on throws across the diamond. Throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 72 MPH. The 2020 graduate is a must follow.

9/30/18

Tall build with a projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 180-pounds. Offensively – Sets up with feet shoulder width apart, slightly open to the pitcher. Short forward stride. Loose, quick hands. Compact swing. Showed gap to gap approach but projects to add more power. Creates significant leverage with height. Hits against a firm front side. Defensively – Clean, simple footwork. Moves laterally with controlled tempo and balance. Receives ball with wide base. Arm stays compact with a long takeaway before getting to ¾ release point. Uses quick exchange but arm strength will need to develop.

60 Yard Dash: 7.57
Exit Velocity:
88
Positional Arm:
70

Tall slender build standing 6-foot-4, 180-pounds with signs of more physical gains ahead. Defensively his footwork around the bag is average, open glove out in front, quick arm action, attacks the ball with aveggressiveness. In the box he uses high hands, great balance, solid contact, fluid barrel path creating 88 mph exit velo, semi high finish, power projection.

2/19/18

Jennings is a 6-foot-4 180-pound right-handed first baseman. Long, wiry frame; ran an improved 7.68 60. Offensively- Strong stance, with a slight bend in the knee, hands up near the ear, and elbow high. Load is simple with a short stride forward. Quick hands to the ball, but pulls off after contact. High one handed finish, more extension would allow for more lift through the middle of the field. Exit velocity of 81 MPH (up 5 MPH). Defensively- Long frame allows him to cover a lot of ground within a few strides; gets off the bag well. Good hands and athletic position allows for easy funnel and transfer, delivers throws on target. Rolls with pivot well to start the double player. 61 MPH arm strength on throws to 3B. Foundation is there on both sides of the ball, physical gains and game play will go a long way in his progression.

2/19/18

Jennings checks in with a large frame at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds. Clocked a time of 7.74 seconds in his 60 yard dash. Offensively- Begins with feet slightly wider than shoulders and knees bent. Hands are aligned closely to back ear. Has a small stride that lands square as weight moves forward with stride. Hips become rotational after the weight transfer. Hands are direct to the ball, but swing goes to finish immediately after contact, limiting extension. Swing plane is slightly uphill, resulting in flyball results. Had an exit velocity of 76 MPH off of the tee. Defensively- Light on feet and moves well around bag. Sets up with staggered feet that are narrow. Most bend occurs at waist. Feet are quick to help transfers to throws. Had a positional throwing velocity of 58 MPH.
