Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Had quick bat speed, loose uphill swing plane and balanced finish. Solid from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 83 mph; had a natural exchange, consistent footwork, and soft hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Showed a high ¾ slot and a consistent loose arm action.
Alex Koons: LHP/OF, (2024) Hilliard Bradley, OH. 5-foot-10, 180-pound. In the box, Koons had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick, shows a simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 75 mph; showed consistent feet, soft hands, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.53. On the mound, had a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-78 mph. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1984; Avg 1958). Shows a 2/8 curveball (60-63) with slurvey action. (Max spin 2213; Avg 2021). His changeup (69-70) shows fading action

Starts in a balanced tall stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a toe tap. Had a level swing plane and efficient bat speed. Line drive approach. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 73 mph. Solid In the outfield, shows consistent hands, a natural exchange, and average feet. Solid on the mound, has a high ¾ arm angle and an short arm action. Slow-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Tall balance point. a clean finish. Curveball (64-65 mph), changeup (67-70 mph).Sat with his fastball at 73-75 mph.
2/16/20 Position Player
Hit: Young bat that works with a controlled tempo from the left side. Smooth actions/simple loading sequence. Path is level with a bit more strength than speed but much more physical maturation left to go, expect tools to balance out. Compact swing that stays inside the baseball regularly. All field abilities.
Power: Top rapsodo exit velocity was 74.8 mph in BP, while top rapsodo distance registered at 209 feet.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Field: Uses a quicker tempo in his approach in the outfield. Ball skills appear to be on par for class. Corner type skill set.
Throw: Showed 66 mph arm strength to home plate from the outfield.
Defensive Projection: Corner OF.
2/16/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Easy pace on the mound with efficient movement patterns. Controlled delivery in general that requires little effort. Impressive repeatability for class. High-¾ southpaw.
Fastball: Topped 67 mph, much more in the tank, true path out of the hand through the mit.
Curveball: 56-57 mph, 1/7 shape, pops out of the hand, good feel for the offering.
Changeup: Decent sell, tossed with near fastball arm speed, a bit heavier sink than fastball, 59 mph.
