2/02/20

2/2/20 Position Player
Hit:Uber physical bat that has an advanced combination of raw natural tools. Cleans up a bit more every time we see him. Still has some stride to make but he just has the ability to do things most can't offensively.
Power: Potential for legit raw power.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer.
Field: Impressive combination of size, athleticism and just raw ability in general. First time seeing him in the outfield but he didn't look out of place whatsoever. In the nifeld he plays under control with feel for angles/his feet. Ball skills are there. Not flashy but looks to be dependable.
Throw: Well above average strength for class.
Defensive Projection:UTL

6/03/19

Athletically/physically doesn't look like your typical ‘22. 6-foot, 185-pound very well put together prospect who has a chance to be dynamic down the road. Isn’t there yet and still has room to grow on both sides of the ball but the tools are obvious. Ball already has advanced jump off the bat for class with much more coming as physical maturation takes its course. High follow.

2/03/19

Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance. Hands stay simple through pitch recognition into swing decision.
Hit: Uber physical bat for class. Swing was explosive at times. Impressive combination of strength/bat speed and the ability to consistently square of the baseball. High follow.
Power: 88 mph exit velocity. Gap abilities. Has a chance to be dynamic.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer.
Run: 7.1 60-yard dash.
Field: Needs some refinement (as do most prospects his age) but the natural tools are obvious. Fluid actions with impressive athleticism and above average ball skills.
Throw: 84 mph, loose arm that could easily see more strength.
Defensive Projection: Arm, ball skills, athleticism play just about anywhere.
Additional Comments: High follow in ‘22 class. Very well built prospect with an advanced combination of raw strength and athleticism. Big time upside.

2/04/18

A young, talented prospect to keep an eye on over the next few years. Impressive natural tools for class at the plate. Swing travels on a level plane with noticeable speed/strength to hands. Barrel explodes through contact generating routine gap pop. There is room to polish up mechanically but Ramos has a chance to be dynamic down the road. A rangy infielder that moves well laterally. Footwork is well timed and he plays under control. Ball skills are above average for class. Projects for more arm strength down the road.

60-yard dash: 7.28
Infield Velocity: 76
Exit Velocity: 79

6/28/17

A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a short stride for timing. Hands move back to launch. His vertical barrel positioning allows him to create early bat speed. Path is uphill with well above average strength and bat speed. Ball jumped off his bat when he was on plane. Showed present gap to gap pop with more to come.  In the infield he does a nice job with his pre fielding footwork. Actions are smooth and he plays through the baseball with ease. Glove skills are above average. Solid young defender.

60-yard Dash: 7.46
Infield Velocity: 68
Exit Velocity: 78

3/19/17
A contact type guy at the plate. Starts with his bat vertical and moves his hands to launch during his stride. A back leg hitter that takes an uphill path to the baseball. Would like to see him transfer weight into contact to let his well above average natural tools show. Ball jumped off bat when he found the barrel. In the infield he uses short, choppy footwork getting to the ball. Fields the baseball deep in the middle of his body. Does a nice job of gaining ground to first base prior to his throws. Looked athletic to his backhand side.

60-yard dash: 7.46
Infield Velocity: 71
Exit Velocity: 73
