Grant Morse: RHP/1B, (2022) William Henry Harrison, OH. 6-foot-1, 175-pound. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. Starts in a balanced tall stance with a controlled load, then uses a long stride. Bat speed was efficient, displayed an upward swing plane and high finish. Solid on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 78-80 mph. Had slight running action. 11/5 curveball (62-63). He had fading action on his changeup (68-70).

Scouting Notes: Ton of feel on the mound, filling up the zone throughout outing. There's athleticism and arm works well through a high-3/4 slot with sweeping action. Very comfortable with the breaking ball that he will throw early and often. One of the better breakers we saw on the day. The ability to consistently show spin makes fastball play up velocity wise. Fastball: 78-81mph.. Fastball Spin Rate: 1889-2007rpm. Breaking Ball: 64-67mph.. Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1863-2160rpm.

Hit:Projectable frame with louder natural tools. Already offers an above average burst and projects for much more as he continues to fill out frame. Solid round. Took hacks in game/confident at bat each time. Power:Gap abilities. Offensive Projection:Middle ceiling. Field:Above average athleticism for the first base position. Quick feet with ball skills that play over there. Throw:Very clean/loose arm that should continue to add strength. Defensive Projection:1B.
