Jackson Larson: RHP/3B, (2023) Grandview Heights, OH. 6-foot-3, 188-pound. Solid on the mound, showed consistent arm speed with a quick arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Balance point is tall with downhill shoulders during delivery. Lands soft with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 84-87 mph. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 2049; Avg 1940). His changeup (67-70) showed slight fading action. Threw a 10/4 slider (62-65) with late action. (Max spin 2026; Avg 1986).

Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. He has downhill shoulders and an athletic balance point. Lands soft with balanced finish. Sat with his fastball at 80-83 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 2137; Avg 2016). Has some action on his 11/5 curveball (62-65). (Max spin 2001; Avg 1981). His changeup (66-69) shows slight fading action.

Projectable on the mound, showing quick arm speed he used a ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action. Slow-tempo type pitcher who uses easy effort. Athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 80-83 mph; shows running action and arm side command. Shows gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (65-68). Shows fading action and arm side control on his changeup (68-71).
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Smooth mover with a loading sequence that comes together well. Physical bat with more than respectable bat speed. Ball comes off well when squared.
Power: Gap pop.
Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling.
Field: Solid showing in the infield. THird baseman skill set. Solid defender
Throw: Ball comes out.
Defensive Projection: 3B.
Scouting Notes: Easy to see the projectability here at 6-foot-2 with even more room to fill out. Fastball has jumped since we last got eyes on him (Up to 83mph) and I don't think that trend is going to stop. Also has a sharp breaker with one of the better changeups we saw of the event. High follow here.
Fastball: Heavy pitch that should continue to add mphs.
Breaking Ball: Sharper, late action that tunnels well with heater.
Changeup: Impressive pitch. Good sell out of the hand with late sink/arm side action.
Pitchability: Filled it up.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Fast bat with some strength to hands. Ball comes off well. Turned on a few balls with authority in BP.
Power:Gap pop.
Offensive Projection:Middle of lineup ceiling.

Field:In the infield he plays with a controlled tempo throughout sequence. Sure-handed defender. Corner type skill set.
Throw:Above average strength for class.
Defensive Projection: 3B/1B.
Scouting Notes:High follow on the mound. Good size with advanced pitchability for class. Consistently in the zone throughout. Fastball/changeup guy. Only going to get better as he matures physically.

2/23/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Very interesting 2023 to follow. Long lever type who gets down the mound well. Very efficient. ¾ righty with a loose arm that is tough to pick up for hitters from both sides of the plate. Not near his physical ceiling yet so expect much more to come as he matures. Took a big jump since we saw him last fall.
Fastball: 74-77 mph. Showed regular run/dive through the zone. Projects for easy velo gains down the road.
Curveball: 10/4, slurvish look to it. Should tighten up as he hits impending velocity jump. Shows potential. 62-63 mph.
Changeup: 65-67 mph, good sell, similar bowling ball action to fastball, overall above average pitch for class.
2/17/20 Position Player Hit: Simple, athletic movements in the box. Starts out in a balanced setup. Solid hip rotation and barel tip create momentum. Relatively level bat path with natural loft. Curveball: Good feel for the offering that move son an 10/4 plane. More than enough action and mph difference to disrupt timing/miss barrels.

5-foot-5, 132 pound right handed pitching prospect with an athletic frame throws out of a ¾ arm slot with clean action. Produces an even tempo throughout his delivery providing solid intent and gets downhill finishing well. His fastball was 67-68 mph and commanded it nicely. His changeup was 62-64 mph producing similar arm speed to his fastball while keeping it in the zone often low with downward run. Offensively he bats right handed and creates nice separation getting himself into launch position. Made solid contact throughout his rounds. Hips were activated well generating energy. Recorded an exit velocity of 68 mph. In the outfield he does a nice job of balancing aggression and control, playing fast while remaining fluid. Plays one-handed through the baseball showing above average ball skills. Arm is accurate while also projecting for more strength with maturity.

A righty swinger that starts in an athletic setup. Uses a leg kick to get things started. Hands stay loose and fluid prior to launch. Swing is efficient and any added strength as he matures should easily translate to added pop. Used both sides of the field. Solid young hitter. In the outfield he gets to the baseball in a timely fashion, using aggressive footwork. Plays through with ease, showing above average ball skills. Transfer is quick and smooth. Arm strength is developing.

On the mound, the right handed pitcher throws through a high ¾ arm slot with short arm action. Generates most of his velocity with his arm strength. Rotational type delivery towards the plate as he uses a 58-60 mph fastball. Uses fastball arm speed with changeup that ranges between 48-51 mph. In the outfield he takes aggressive routes and gets to the ball in a timely fashion. Plays through the ball confidently, maintaining momentum into his throws. Arm strength is average while working through a high-¾ slot. At the plate he starts in a taller setup prior to his leg kick load. Hands stay loose as they move to launch. Path is level with solid barrel whip through the zone. Was at his best when he worked the middle of the field. Swing is efficient and should see added pop as he matures physically.
