Kyan Freyhauf: OF/RHP, (2024) Nordonia, OH. 5-foot-11, 170-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 81 mph. (58.5 mph bat speed average). (19.3 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled stride. Has quick bat speed, simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid recorded an outfield position velocity of 72 mph; has consistent feet, sure hands, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Showed a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. Recorded a time of 7.27 in the 60-yard dash.
Hit: Athletic stroke from the right side with physicality behind it. Turn and burn BP, consistently driving the ball to pull side. There's a lot to lime here with size, burst, and ability to spin the ball naturally.
Power: Loft power to pull.
Offensive Projection: Middle of lineup.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 84mph.
Max BP Distance: 246ft.
Field: Worked out in the outfield. Smoother actions out there with ball skills that are ahead of the curve for class.
Throw: Clean arm that should easily add more velocity down the road.
Defensive Projection: TBD. Good athlete. How arm develops will likely determine future destination.
Scouting Notes: Two-way prospect. On the bump he works with a slower paced tempo to a delivery that requires little effort. Compact arm action through a high-3/4 slow with developing strength/speed. Fastball/breaking ball guy who showed feel for the zone. More to come.

Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in a tall stance. Vertical barrel acceleration with a small leg lift for timing.

Run:
Field: In the outfield he plays with fast feet, cutting down distance well off the bat. One-handed play through with soft hands and above average ball skills.
Throw: Present accuracy with developing arm strength.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Medium leg lift with minimal involvement of the lower half. Lands slightly open with a loose arm action that doesn’t get extended all the way at release point.
Fastball: 68-71mph. Slight arm side movement Thrown consistently low and in the zone.
Curveball: 55-57mph. 11/5 wrinkle offering with gradual action. Nice change of pace offering that has more depth than action.
Changeup:
Pitchability: In the zone most of the time with both pitches.
