Advanced on the mound, showed good arm speed, also used a longer loose arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Stretch only type pitcher who shows easy effort. Showed consistent balance point with even in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic recoil finish. (Max spin 1565; Avg 1490).
OF/LHP, (2025) Hilliard Davidson, OH. 5-foot-8, 155-pound. In the box, Himes had an exit velocity of 91 mph. (64.8 mph bat speed average). (20.1 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed was quick, showed a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 79 mph; had consistent footwork, a natural exchange, and soft hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.22. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 71-75 mph. Roman Himes: OF/LHP, (2025) Hilliard Davidson High School, OH. 5-foot-8, 155-pound. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 87 mph. Began in a balanced active stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed was quick, displayed a loose uphill swing plane and balanced finish. Solid from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 80 mph; had a natural exchange, consistent footwork, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.6 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, he had a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Threw his fastball 73-77 mph.
