Braydon Hutchings: 2B/OF, (2021) Edison Preparatory, OK. 5-foot-9, 155-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Hutchings recorded an exit velocity of 78 mph. Began in a balanced stance with a arm bar load, then used a toe tap. Has some bat speed, flat swing plane and a back foot finish. He Barreled up some balls during the round. Pull side approach. Above average from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 79 mph; has firm hands, a developing exchange and average feet. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short arm action. Clocked a time of 7.2 in the 60-yard dash.

Showcased a lean 5-foot-9, 155-pound frame with athleticism in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins with a bent, open stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path through the zone. Hit into a stiff front side with an easy, repeatable swing generating an 80 mph bat-exit velocity off the tee. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Demonstrated easy, fluid actions during defensive evaluations with feet that arrived on time and played through the ball consistently. Made the play on the run look easy with ability to throw from different arm angles. Quick transfers and soft hands created accurate 84 mph throws across the diamond out of a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot.

Displayed a stiff and lean 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with some strength in his current body. The right-handed hitter starts with an even stance utilizing a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Drives high through the waste while entering the zone with a flat bat-path, lacking maximum lower-half drive upon impact. Demonstrated some barrel whip with length in his swing, generating an 80 mph bat-exit velocity. Recorded a 7.27 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder showed stiff, long movements during defensive evaluations with a soft glove hand and consistent transfers. Registered an accurate 81 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a ¾ arm-slot.


9-9-18
A developing 5-foot-7, 120-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from a relaxed and controlled delivery with a moderate leg kick before gliding down the mound. Arm action is short in the back with a quick change of direction before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 73-75 mph with sink, especially to the arm side. Slurve has 10/4 shape at 58-61 with some depth. Both pitches commanded down in the zone. In the game, retired four of the five batters he faced, allowing one hit and striking out one.

Uses a short stride with a late heel plant before pulling his hands through a slightly uphill path to contact. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field approach with occasional lift, mostly barrels,, 75 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.72 60. Defensively, shows deliberate and controlled actions. Throws from a ¾ slot and a short arm stroke with some accuracy at 72 mph across the diamond.

A developing 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from a simple and slightly up-tempo rhythm with a moderate leg and coil before gliding to the dish and finishing balanced. Arm action is short and clean in the back before coming through a ¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 75-79 mph, all strikes. Curveball has gradual depth with 10/4 shape at 62-65 mph, almost all strikes.

12-16-18
A developing 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly closed, balanced, and quiet setup with a slight crouch. Uses a short and smooth load and stride before launching his hands on a flat path through extension with a short finish. In BP, shows a middle to opposite field and flat approach with occasional lift, mostly barrels, 80 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.68 60. Defensively, shows deliberate footwork and average hands. Throws with a short arm stroke through a ¾ slot with excellent accuracy at 78 mph.
