A 6-foot-2, 205-pounds, strong catcher with a projectable frame, strong lower half and room to add more strength as he continues to grow and develop. Some athleticism with good footwork behind the plate that should continue to improve, 2.03 pop time from the crouch with carry on the ball. At the plate, Cipolla projects to provide power from the left side, uses a leg kick to load on his back foot, often loses timing in the lower half, but showed signs of some pop to his pull side when he got his timing down. Only a 2019 classman, Cipolla has a lot of time to work on getting a more repeatable swing, but remains a catcher who easily passes the eye test and should provide some power as he continues to develop and mature.

Physical 2019 grad with current strength at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds. Left-handed hitting catcher with power potential. Hits from balanced setup, uses leg kick to load, at times will lose lower half with timing, bat path has natural lift and ball jumps when he is extended and elevates. Had top exit velocity of 93 mph. Defensively, good foundation with correct footwork, can become quicker in lower half, arm gets carry on ball, did show tailing action with a velocity of 74 mph from the crouch. Pop time was 2.12 and will become quicker as he matures. Good looking young catcher with physical attributes with power potential from the left side. Will be one to keep a close follow on.
