6/12/13 Bomberger is a 5-foot-7, 145-pound OF that gets the most out of his athletic frame. He showcased an 84 mph arm from the outfield and the ability to take precise routes to the baseball. Bomberger hits out of an open stance, utilizing a strong lower half, quick hands and good barrel whip to create a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. Bomberger consistently squared the baseball during his round of batting practice and went on to go 2-for-6 with a triple during game play. His all-around performance over two days earned Bomberger MVP honors for the Blue Team.
2/23/13 Bomberger is a 5-foot-7, 145-pound prospect who showed well turning in a 4.18 home-to-first time and showcasing accurate throws with carry from the outfield. Bomberger showed a strong arm at 82 mph with more in the tank. He has a solid approach to hitting and his lower half works well with his hands to create an 85 mph bat exit velocity and good barrel action. Bomberger hits out of a slightly open stance and uses a toe tap to trigger his swing.
10/12/12 Bomberger topped all outfield arms at the event with throws of 84mph. The 5-foot-7, 145-pound prospect ran a 7.25 60-yard dash and showcased an 82mph bat exit speed. Bomberger topped out at 77mph from the mound with a 68mph curveball in two scoreless innings of work.
1/26/13 Bomberger participated solely as a hitter at the workout and had an impressive round of live batting practice. The 5-foot-7, 145-pound junior showcased a solid 84 mph bat exit velocity. Bomberger used a slightly open stance and a short swing plane to consistently square the baseball, spraying line drives to all fields.
