6/15/21
Physical: Athletic, durable 5-foot-9, 170lb frame with some projection left and strength carried in the actions. 7.52 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balance, even stance at a slightly upright position; utilized leg lift stride towards the pitcher with the hands operating through a flat path into the hitting zone. Worked his way into a stiff front side posting a T89 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman Baseball and found a 300 foot batted ball distance on his best swing to LCF. Leveraged approach and got the hands out at the front of the plate after the slot allowing for some lift towards the middle of the field (30% line drive rate / 20% fly ball rate via Trackman).
Defensively: The primary outfielder featured solid actions during defensive evaluations fielding off the left side of his body from a medium/low posture and funneled into the waistline with clean exchanges and a loose, whippy high ¾ slot at release (T79 mph arm, accurate, some carry to the target). Corner outfield projection at the next level.
2/14/21
Physical: 5’9 170lb OF/RHP ran a 7.74 laser timed 60-yard dash. Smaller frame has room to add size and strength.
Offensively: Starts with a wide base and a slightly open front foot. He loads his hands and arm bars his bottom arm, before firing off his backside into the pitch. Handles the ball over the plate.
Defensively: Moves athletically laterally to the ball, and uses multiple crow hop steps to gather momentum into his throws. Arm works quick and OTT.
Pitching: Starts with wide feet, he uses a small rocker step to begin his windup. Has up tempo movements to get his momentum moving towards the catcher. Has a slight drop and drive movement in his lower half.
