Physical: 5-7, 133 pounds; Average, slight build. 7.52 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat to start. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a short swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 86 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are underneath the body with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 75 MPH.
6/21/22
Physical: Developing 5-foot-7, 133lb stocky frame. 8.20 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Simple, balanced stance, as the rear-hip hangs on while staying grounded. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat path into the hitting zone, working directional towards the finish. Posted a T79 mph exit velocity and plugged the pull-side gap on a few occasions, up to a 282 foot distance. Repeated success on the barrel for 67% sweet spot.
Defensively: The middle infielder played with solid posture and a loose glove-hand that gives on the move inward. Some second base projection down the road, but made the plays with an accurate 70 mph throwing arm.
Pitching: RHP. Starts off the left corner; deep drop-step with average pace down the mound. Compact delivery that repeats itself through a H ¾ slot. Held 69-73 mph for strikes to both sides, adding a sweeping 60-61 mph CB with consistent shape. Mixed a low-60’s straight CH.
3/12/22
Physical: Smaller 5-foot-4, 130lb frame with feel. 8.07 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance, as the hands operated from a lower set position at the shoulder. Worked through a slight uphill path into the hitting zone. Lofty approach and punched the ball at the front of the plate. Posted a T76 mph bat-exit velocity with pound for pound strength.
Defensively: The middle infielder demonstrated active footwork, fielding off the middle of his body with an accurate glove hand. Shuffled twice towards the target, releasing from an H ¾ slot (72 mph arm).
Pitching: RHP - The righty found a clean balance point, repeating the delivery into footstrike. Held direction down the slope, 69-70 mph FB for strikes. Added 58-60 mph CB with sweeping action and deadened 60-61 mph CH.
