Physical: Lean, athletic 6-foot-1, 160lb frame with projection available. 7.37 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Narrow, slightly open stance as the hands operated loosely high at the ear. Utilized a short lift and replace stride towards the pitcher on time with a stretch back for the trigger; initiated through a flat path into the hitting zone with good bat to ball skills featured during his batting practice round. Top of the order approach, spraying hard line drives through the middle of the field, found success driving pitches above the belt for extra-bases to pull (50% line drive rate, 306 foot batted ball distance) with present doubles PWR at the plate. Was able to match pitch-plane early out of the hand and worked his way up to a T86 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman.
Defensively: The outfielder arrived on time to the baseball with a trusted glove hand funneling softly off the middle of his body. Able to work laterally and then get down through the baseball with athleticism carrying in all phases. Smooth pace and released on time with some length through H ¾ slot (83 mph arm, accurate on the plate).
Pitching: RHP - Started tall off the middle of the rubber; good pace and high intent, showing clean/connected actions on the drive into footstrike. Able to pound the zone with some downhill from a high ¾ slot, working the FB in for strikes at 79-81 mph (5.78 foot release height via Trackman, 41% zone rate). Mixed a good looking 64-66 mph CB with good sweep for swing/miss and added a well commanded 68-70 mph CH with minimal lateral movement at a 100% zone rate.
Physical: Long and athletic 6-foot-1, 160-pound frame with more to come physically as he continues adding strength. 7.70 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Upright, open stance with the barrel showing slight rhythm pre-load, Utilized a toe tap stride in order to deliver the bat head through a flat path and into the hitting zone; fluid stroke with ability to work from point A to point B in the swing. Generated some lift at times at the front of the plate with long levers, but mostly showcased hard, line drive contact through the middle of the field (44% line drive rate). An interesting 85 mph bat-exit velocity coupled with a 305 peak batted ball distance per Trackman Baseball point towards doubles power at the moment giving him a solid base to continue building off of.
Defensively: The primary outfielder flashed above-average actions during defensive evaluations; approached the ball with a calculated glove hand working just off of the inside of his left foot. Funnelled into the beltline using smooth transfers to the throwing ear allowing for a live 85 mph arm strength from his position. Ability to handle a corner outfield position at the moment with accuracy on the plate.
Pitching: RHP - Started from the middle of the rubber with average pace, side rocker into a pause at the top of the stack, got directional towards the plate, and released from a high ¾ slot. FB ranged from 77-79 mph showing mostly straight into the zone, mixed a 61 mph breaker with some depth eventually giving way to a developing 66 mph CH.
Hit: Fast bat from the left side. Cross strider who took a turn and burn BP. Bat speed and strength are comparable and both are above average.
Power: Gap pop.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 85mph.
Max BP Distance: 305ft.
Field: Plays with a controlled tempo in the outfield. Very smooth throughout sequence. Ball skills are on par for class.
Throw: Clean arm with more strength to come.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.
Scouting Notes: Works with a controlled tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Drop/drive type guy to create energy down the mound. Arm shows long back action prior to accelerating through a high-3/4 slot. Showed a balanced combination of strength/speed to arm.
Fastball: 75-78mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1817-2045.
Curveball: 63-64mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1788-2024.
