7/24/18 Defensively, actions in middle infield are athletic showing solid area quickness. Hands are soft and confident in funneling bottom up and out front. Transfer is clean and an accurate 76 mph was shown on throws across the diamond.
Offensively, 5-foot-9, 175-pound right-handed hitter initiates swing from slightly open with heel raise and no stride staying open. Weight shift is passive followed by an aggressive hip turn. Hands are loose and work directly to the baseball. Barrel feel is demonstrated with squaring of multiple balls during round of BP. a bat exit velocity of 85 mph was registered.

10/08/17 Initiates swing with short lift and replace stride. Their is minimal head movement, good balance, rhythm and leverage to swing. Hand path is direct with good feel for barrel. Although weight shift is somewhat passive, Yough is aggressive rotating away from hands, thereby, achieving some separation. A marked increase of bat exit velocity from previous levels to 85 mph was recorded.

Defensively, actions are similar to those summarized below as seen on 6/20/17. Overall, Yough displays the makings of a solid defender. However, the need to attack and play through ball more aggressively remains.

6/20/17 5-foot-9 170-pound right-handed hitter initiates swing with no stride heel raise.  Shows soft in sync load, short path to baseball, still head, and adequate separation in achieving a bat exit velocity of 75 mph. Bat is on plane throughout hitting zone. Yough maintains his posture well while hitting off a firm front side.  Overall swing is mechanically sound and played as such in BP with ball being consistently barreled.
Defensively, there was tendency to sit back on baseball. Hands are adequate and transfers are clean. Yough would benefit from attacking and playing through ball more aggressively.
