Maryland Preseason All-State Session II

Body: 5’10’’, 168 pounds. Lean, athletic frame with some feel present.
Hit: RHH. Wide, even stance with quiet hands to start; utilized a leg lift stride while entering the hitting zone through a flat path. Recorded a 29% line drive rate via Trackman Baseball and featured a sneaky power ceiling down the road with good connection early at the plate (16.7+ G’s of rotational acceleration on average). Mostly worked the middle / LCF side of the field with ability to get the bat head out for damage on occasion. (250 foot batted ball distance).
Power: 82 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Developing doubles power with some punch to pull side.
Arm: RH. OF - 73 mph. Quick, high ¾ slot with accuracy towards the target.
Defense: Low posture on the approach, fielding with two hands off the left foot at the fielding window, stayed down and through the baseball assisting the throw in being consistent towards the target; repeatability was present. LF projection due to foot speed.
Run: 7.66 60-yard time.

Delivery: Short side rocker with a pause into a medium leg lift with slight hip coil; consistent hand-break at chest height and drove off the backside well, finished in a moderate position out over the front side. Followed a straight line towards the plate with some deception present.
Arm Action: RH. High ¾ slot, semi-quick arm with repeatability.
FB: T75 mph, 73-75 mph. Average spin rate of 1825 rpm. Increased play down in the zone with some heaviness to it; held the zone at a 25% clip, mostly to the arm side of the plate.
CB: 67-69 mph. Average spin rate of 1924 rpm. Worked his way up to a 10 inches of horizontal movement across the plate, developing consistency and slider shape.
