Taddei is a Lehigh commit and has an athletic frame that has some strength present and some projection left to it. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, longer loose quick arm action with easier effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are level and closed, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 85-89, touching 90 once, pitch had downward angle and a bit of late armside run, pitch seemed to ride some. Slider was 75-79 with tight late hard 11/5 break to it. Showed command of both pitches, locating fastballs to both sides of the plate and changing elevation as he felt like it. Showed ability to back foot the slider to lefties. Easily the best command I have seen so far this spring. Held velocity well, started 88-89 in the first two innings, and was still sitting 86-88 in the sixth. Struck out 7 in 6 innings and didn't walk any hitters, worked ahead of the count often, works quickly too. When not getting swings and misses, kept the ball on the ground, only one ball hit in the air was a flyout in the sixth.
