Konczal, a prospect who we got our first look at over the winter, stood out as a consistent batter for Midwest Halos Scout over the weekend. Standing at 5-foot-8, 175 pounds, the righty presents a solid foundation and strength that plays throughout his swing. In his second game of the weekend, Konczal was a flawless 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs in a 15-0 win. His double one-hopped the wall in left field, as Konczal displayed his natural power to the pull-side. Konczal emerged as a prospect to watch over the weekend and for the future, as he finished with at least one hit in all five games played for Midwest Halos Scout.

Body: 5-8, 170-pounds. Thicker strong build, athletic.
Hit: RHH. Balanced and athletic setup, starts slightly open. Small leg lift brings feet even, hands draw back into load. Athletic, well sequenced, flat and direct, hitters hands, flat through the ball for days.
Power: 87 max exit velocity, averaged 78.9 mph. 241' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-83 mph. High 3/4 slot, quick arm, carry on his throws with accuracy.

OF Hayden Konczal (Nicolet, 2027) has a strong and thick build standing 5-foot-8, 170-pounds. His swing is very flat and on plane and he stays through the ball very well which allowed him to hit balls to both gaps and registered one of the highest exit velocities of the day at 87 mph. During defensive work, Konczal showed off impressive arm strength at 83 mph, showing solid carry and accuracy through the target.
