Athletic build that still has plenty of room to grow. Went 3-for-3 with a double on Thursday, showing a gap to gap approach with a wiry, smooth swing. Playing a year up and still catching everyone’s eye with not only his offensive contributions but also on defense; proving to be a rangy shortstop with an above-average arm.
INF/RHP Mason Sturma (Muskego, 2027) is listed at 5-foot-10, 120-pounds with plenty of room left for size and strength to be added to his athletic frame. Sturma is a wiry athletic pitcher that had some major confidence on the mound. Threw from an over the top arm action and demonstrated an advanced feel for a curveball at his age, being able to throw it in any count consistently for strikes. Fastball was located well on the corners throughout the game and sat 66-67, T 68 multiple times. Sturma is a natural athlete that fielded the position well, throwing multiple balls on the run with fast footwork. Projectable player that will continue to advance with age.
