Zac Cowan SS / 2B / Blythewood, SC / 2022

5-9, 160lbs Lean frame. Projects to add functional strength with future player development and maturity. 7.27 sixty time (laser). 83 mph exit velocity RH, 84 mph exit velocity LH (tee). 85 mph infield velocity. Switch hitter showed good feel for the barrel and a gap to gap approach from both sides. Simple approach from the right side, weight stacked inside the feet, uses a short stride with medium length to push the hands back and coil the barrel at the top. Worked the middle of the field with a natural loft in the bat path and good extension to follow through. Slightly open stance from the left side. Separation and barrel lag more pronounced from the left side. Smooth footwork and soft hands in the infeld. Showed the ability to maintain momentum throughout the fielding process. Worked to field the ball just off the left of his midline, transferred at the belt and got the ball out cleanly with an OTT arm slot. Throws showed plenty of carry to play any infield position

 

 

Walker Taylor 1B / OF / May River, SC / 2022

5-10, 160lbs. Youthful prospect with good length to support additional player development. 7.57 sixty time (laser). 82 mph exit velocity (tee). 66 mph infield velocity. Wide stance. Short leg kick and short stride length. Carries the hands in a low position and pushes them back to a position over the back foot. Attacks with a steeper bat path that flattens out through the zone. Gap to gap approach. Quiet load with some forward head movement at foot strike. Solid defender at 1B. Body control has consistently improved as he has attended more PBR events. Confident hands and clean exchanges. Long arm action on his throws. Solid Avg. footwork. 

 

 

William Campagna OF / Wando , SC / 2022

5-10, 180lbs. Proportional build with good present strength. Frame will support additional strength in spots as he matures. 7.00 sixty time (laser). Event best 95 mph exit velocity (tee). 77 mph OF velocity. RHH with a balanced stance at the shoulders. Small leg kick and a medium stride time the swing. Muscles the barrel through the zone with a flat path and compact two hand finish. Good separation in the swing. Took a loud round of BP, running a ball out to LF and carrying the gap multiple other times. Quick footwork in the OF with confident hands. Fielded the ball outside the left foot and transferred at the chest to a OTT arm slot. Throws showed good accuracy with some carry present.

 

 

Branton Little 3B / RHP / Wando, SC / 2022

6-1, 150lbs. Slender frame with lengthy limbs and substantial projection remaining.  7.45 sixty time (laser). 75 mph exit velocity (tee). 77 mph INF velocity. Open stance with slight bend in the knees and relaxed hand set. Medium leg kick and longer stride push the hands back into a small wrapped position. Direct hand path to the baseball with a flat path through contact, good extension and a one hand finish. Some whip in the barrel, will have a chance to showcase some pop as he matures. Natural loft with consistent line drive contact in BP. Sure hands. Let the ball get in on him at times. Gathers at the waist and gets the ball out of a 3Q arm slot. Longer actions. Developing body control. Stretch exclusive on the mound with a balance point just above the belt. Slight rotation at the top. Full arm action on the back and OTT ar slot. Slightly closed through extension.  Max FB 75 mph with good control. 11/5 shape to the breaking ball, 68-69 mph. Matching arm slot with deception present, plus potential on the mound.

 

 

Cayden Towell RHP / 3B / Rock Hill, SC / 2022

6-3, 165lbs. Length in the lower half, projects to add functional strength as he matures. Stretch exclusive with an athletic balance point. Linear through extension with a stabbing take away and an abbreviated arm action on the back side. Falls off to the 1B side on his follow through. Max FB 78 mph, located well in the bottom of the zone. Showed some arm side life. CB 68 mph with occasional downer action and developing feel. Out pitch potential. CH 67-68, best off speed pitch at this time. Good deception and fade to the arm side. 

 

 

Jason Shaefer C / OF / Rock Hill, SC / 2022

6-0, 155lbs. Lean frame with upside. Adding mass is necessary to help reach the potential. 7.92 sixty time (laser). 75 mph exit velocity (tee). 2.33 POP time. 69 mph C velocity. RHH with a balanced stance, slight knee bend. Hands set just off the back shoulder. Small stride and hand load. Bat launches from more of a vertical positon, steep onto plane and flat through the zone, finishes with a level two finish. Line drive approach. Balanced set up behind the plate with some bend in the hips. Firm hands behind the plate. OTT arm slot and avg. exchange quickness. Avg. carry with above avg. accuracy. RHP used a small rocker step to get to an athletic compact balance point. Clean hand break with full arm action, drop and drive lower half with good extension. FB reached 70 mph. CB 60-62 mph. CH 65-66.

 

 

Nate Hoyt OF / OF / Bluffton, SC / 2022

6-0, 170lbs. Athletic frame, developing strength will pair nicely with current athleticism as he matures. 7.03 sixty time (laser). 91 mph exit velocity (tee). 78 mph OF velocity. RHH with a taller stance, at the shoulders. Hands set is relaxed, just off the back shoulder. Medium leg kick, with medium stride length. Hands load back slightly and work freely through the hitting zone on a lofted path. Gap to gap power. Wants to stay behind the ball and use the whole field. Athletic OF fields the ball out in front and uses a quick pro step to exchange at the chest. H3Q to OTT arm slot. Throws showed good accuracy and solid carry.
