PBR: As you enter your junior year at Hamilton Southeastern, where are you currently in the recruiting process?
Westin: I am actively having conversations with a handful of schools.  At this point, I am still trying to figure out what is the best fit, both academically and on the field.

PBR: What schools are you most interested in right now, and why?
Westin: I am interested in a few schools for various reasons. I lean more toward certain schools for academics; however some other schools are appealing strictly from a baseball aspect.

PBR: Do you see yourself committing early or taking your time with the recruiting process?
Westin: I am not feeling pressure to rush any decisions. If the perfect situation presents itself, I am not opposed to committing early. At this point, I am just enjoying being on the field with my friends and playing baseball.

PBR: What aspect of your game do you believe needs the most improvement?
Westin: I would like to improve my speed. I have also been working hard in the weight room trying to gain strength.

PBR: What are your goals for the upcoming 2012 season?
Westin: I want to keep improving from year to year. The main goals I have are to get a good feel for my swing and play defense to the best of my ability. Hopefully I can make some positive contributions to help HSE go as far as possible in the post season.

PBR: You played for the Indiana Bulls Organization this summer, how do you feel playing for them helped you?
Westin: Having moved from Colorado a little over a year ago, I have been extremely blessed ending up at an organization like The Bulls. Bulls coaches; Dan Held, Quinn Moore, Jered Moore, and Tony Cookerly have all played vital roles in my development as a player, as well as an individual.  The Bulls are a top rate organization and have been extremely instrumental in my recruiting process. I can not thank them enough for everything they have done for me so far. There is not a better organization in Indiana to be a part of.

PBR: What is your fondest memory or highlight from your 2011 baseball season (High School or Summer)?
Westin: Being selected to play in the Area Code Games this summer was a tremendous honor. There is no other experience like it. The amount of instruction and exposure I obtained in that week was incredible. I competed against players from all over the United States and made some great friends.

PBR: What were your stats for your 2011 HS season?  Summer Season?
Westin: Both seasons combined, I hit over .400 with 15 homeruns.
