As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:

Head Coach Brent Reinhardt and the Bethany Christian Bruins are looking to improve on last year's 3-17 record.  The Bruins return five starters and three arms this spring.  Sophomore RHP/SS Joel Miller is expected to be key piece to the core of players hoping to turn around a recent stint of losing seasons at BC.  Miller led the Bruins in every offensive category last year as freshman. Reinhardt has high expectations for Junior Cristian Romero.  Romero will be playing in his first high school baseball season this spring.  Utility player Ryan Duckworth returns after hitting .295 as a sophomore.  His versatility will be key for the Bruins success this spring.  Providing solid defense up the middle is sophomore 2B Alex Reinhardt.  As a freshman Reinhardt posted a .436 OBP.  Two seniors expected to play key roles are OF Jordan Glasgow and LHP Dylan Schlaback.  Glasgow will be expected to pick up his offensive production in 2014. Coach Reinhardt says Schlabach could be a surprise this season as he's swinging the bat better and throwing with more confidence than before.
